Most of my memorable moments are a lot like everyone else's memorable moments: crashes, DC, desync, Resurrect in Town overlying a screen filled with capering strongbox idiots dancing over my corpse, etc.
I'll just spare us all and limit my comments to memorable events from the past week. 1. Watching two warthogs take turns teabagging my corpse in TOTA 2. Trivia Apothecary for having good taste in Castlevania games 3. Two-Timin' Tawhanuku and the Turtle. Penultimate round, she gets a turtle. It glitches on its own totem and ofc everything is warded except for 3 noncoms on the right frontfield. My guys finally kill the turtle and down goes the totem. Poof, now it's back thanks to tribal reconstruction. Turtle is again stuck on its own totem and ofc everything is now warded. I'm gravely outnumbered and my soft Gruyère can do zero damage against the thing. 4. Hours of lying facedown in Comet Vomit hoping my 3 tuataras and motley assortment of Little League batters and ham hocks will read the room and go after the high value targets 5. A few autolosses due to entering the arena with weapons swapped and not having any cheese on my plate 6. Giving a Shroud Walker toy to a firebreather and queuing up AC/DC - TNT. More fun than a barrel of creepers. SSSSSS BOOOM! 7. Putting a massive chisel on a ninja lizard. Pretty much the same thing. Wreck-it Ralph. 8. Putting a jug of RF rotgut on a riptide. GET OVER HERE! "Come and stand next to my fire" 9. Putting GMP band on tidepooler. "How original." One man defensive battery. Nothing else required. 10. Last-round concessions to reroll Ahuana reward. " i legit miss loving this game. i necro'd my own thread coz i dont want to open a new one unnecessarily. you're right, i didnt get any attention at all before this but now i do. regardless of positive or negative, its still attention so, thanks i guess? anyway. most of my friends have left. and i still legit miss loving this game to bits. i m unashamed to express my past love to this game. and i m still dealing with the loss. if you want to see it as a shameless "karma farm" so be it. it is a legitimate and reasonable way to look at it and you could be right. i could be doing that. for sure, getting responses is really fun. forum interaction too. positive and negative. this forum is the last bastion that connects me to this game. i unsubbed the subreddit a long time ago. to the guy who asked how i got my achievements, the other guy gave a very accurate response. i played awhile then rage quit from the game. i actually went back to standard, i went hard mapping a long time, i dropped divines but never a sanctum map. sanctum was my fav league. i played since open beta so for a new league to be my all time fav. its huge. ended up buying it off randoms. i didnt like how it is now. failed some, bought more, failed more. rage quit. that led me to my post 2 months ago, which was succeeded by the original post that i posted here 1 month ago, then i commented again recently. i really have no where else to vent or share. all my guildies have quit poe. besides me, my oldest poe buddy finally farmed a mirror (i contributed all my wealth to help him achieve it, he probably could have done it alone but i helped him get it faster) he played before closed beta. not sure if he'll stick around either. so yeah. take it however you want. i really miss loving this game. i miss zana. i miss bex. i miss the old masters. bend you rear awhile! perandus. navali. oh well. i really should learn to move on. i am aware i m being whiny about it, that is how deep my love is towards this game. at least how it was. i already announced my departure. i should never have returned. ok amigos. may rngsus bless you with a mirror. " Some things are better said to a friend than a public forum, but I getchu I understand it can be difficult to reconnect to a game that has evolved much since you last played it, because there's a lot of new things that have been added, skills & supports that were changed etc. etc. Just take your time with it and have fun if you can, and if you can't, then all you lost was a little bit of your free time The opposite of knowledge is not illiteracy, but the illusion of knowledge.
