I am done with PoE. (nvm I returned)
I hate that fact that people blindly refer everyone to PoE, not telling them the whole picture.
Performance issues. You can visit the 'bug' forums of this website so see that Mac/Windows have issues after the engine update. I played whole crucible league and the performance was significantly better. Despite having beast specs, I and others have crazy FPS dips all the time. The frustrating part of this is, that since GGG is a small company, it takes them long time to fix anything. Visual MTX bugs. I actually reported one yesterday and I can see many did also. If MTX is the source of income for GGG and it has bugs, surely if would be a wise interest for them to fix it???? Not balanced mechanics (ToTA) I still don't understand 3.22.1 update to ToTA. I grinded to 800 rank and I understood the mechanics. One thing that was the problem was that Mobs AND Tribe leaders will 1 shot you in range or through half of the map. I read every patch note of the update and I can see that GGG is out of touch on the issues. Titanic shell was not fixed, Mobs dealing less damage - but it's not different at higher ranks, tribe leaders dealing 2x damage ?? They already did 1 shot you and now people will avoid FIGHTNING/using their builds to play ToTA, rather they will avoid mobs and use stun/range mechanics to win the battles. Update: I don't know, but the game runs well for me now, perhaps a change in some settings improved the issues, but I don't have any issues during ToTs runs, where before I had many FPS dips cheers Last edited by holyblazeer on Sep 11, 2023, 9:46:39 AM Last bumped on Sep 14, 2023, 2:48:12 PM

" Who could have called such a situation that playtesting Poe 2 engine would cause a massive dip in players and have people quit left and right and then share that information on the forums, how could this happen GGG, how could this unforeseeable event ever have been prevented? oh wait. It's one thing to not care about the lost profit from players not liking a league, and an entirely other one to screw them over intentionally to beta test your second game that most people dont even want to play. Luckily I haven't had any performance issues (except infested valley there's a lot of visual bugs.) but damn I was really hoping they would make tota more fair. Nope that titanic shell bug actually wasn't a bug, gotcha!
I'm glad I didn't buy any stash tabs because when the league started I was hyped to pop off and get level 100, I was tempted to finally buy essence tab if I was going to spend so much time on the game. Now I just feel like a fool playing a dumpster tier league because I had my hopes up. |

Trial of the ancestors is not fun.

League mechanic is terrible. Nothing of any use to my character ever drops. Not having fun this league at all.

Ggg is trying to capture lightning in a bottle with poe2, a game that has absolutely no resemblance to poe1.
Axing Poe 4.0 and abandoning poe1 with poor low effort league mechanics is the end of this franchise. Poe1 performance problems have worsened even for top end 40 series nVidia gpu. Ggg has pulled a Blizzard. "I've played a lot of videogames. It's my primary recreational activity. Best games ever: Elden Ring and Diablo 4."

got perfomance issues too. all was fine last league but now game is very laggy and latency popup suddently too to 2000ms. end game unplayable, cant do blight or any think else that has more then 10 monster in screen.

Same to me.
Yesterday I had lucky 2 hours with good performance. 9h later it was bad again as it is today. No crashes like yesterday, but bad performance even with 10 mobs. Always. GGG, how many weeks do we have to suffer before you stop experimentating with things your programers can't do?
" It's interesting that when reading all the changes to PoE2, removal of currencies, features, it seems like GGG is trying to create D4 clone. All the things people complain about in D4? Put them in PoE. And then make the game slow with combat very engaging. That's not what people want, people want to optimize builds and delete bosses, not have 100 fights that feel like it's Elden Ring (where they say they got their inspiration).
" See, this is what I don't get. While Elden Ring sold like hotcakes, it wasn't an ARPG by an unknown company to anyone except hardcore fans of the ARPG genre. From already had large build in audience. Trying to capture that audience seems like a massive gamble, even bigger than making a homebrew ARPG in 2012. Will POE Darksouls really reach out to Darksouls fans, and will it reach out to new players? I mentioned in another thread that the death mechanic was likely to be a deterrent, and it is worth noting that at least in ER, the boss run backs aren't that bad. But what is going to happen in POE2? Will there be checkpoints, or will the entire map respawn, making getting to the boss difficult? Will average players put up with that BS? |
