But for poe 1 a pc that was top notch in 2017 should still be able to run poe 1 without the slightest of problems. That's the real issue, I think. And that also makes it hard to troubleshoot it.

Neither I nor my wife have problems (we did right after the first of those patches because it wouldn't run on Linux with the old settings that it ran on for years) with loading screens (a few seconds to max 30s), missing textures and the like.
Maybe it's some Windows thing running in the background on some computers.

Loading times are often too fkn long. Normally I need about 0-5seconds to enter a map/hideout etc but now it takes up to 15-20seconds sometimes.

Performance is fine for me till some updates ago. 144/fps all the time but sometimes it misses loading some textures!

Any fix to the loading time in towns?

What ever they did they really should re roll it back.

So, before you have mobs on your screen so you could clear it and no you dont have any mobs? Hard to clean then screen then even with 240 fps!

I feel sorry for you but try to change one setting at time in graphics. It could help, or not. Try multithreading first.

the FPS drop is massive for a lot of players in this league, not to mention the excessively long loading times...
Even when reducing all the graphics to a minimum, the game is sometimes borderline unplayable, whereas I've never had a problem in any league before.
I can't find any communication from the developers on this subject, yet it ruins the experience of a large number of people...

Last time I had that much lag is Harbinger league.

It hits 20k latency!

While in solo its 8-10.. not k! Just 8-10.
Somth rlly rlly wrong with the net code too..

i have no issues on my 2 maybe 3 year old laptop :')

had some long loading times just after the cache cleaning but after a bi it was back to being normal tbh.

London is fine up until about 5pm UTC then it all goes down the drain and you get 500+ msec just standing in your HO.

I guess that's when the spark players are let out of remedial school and run home to their game to host 5-ways.
