You would have to of been playing POE for a long period to understand why people are upset over this league mechanic and reach a understanding of community desire. Community expects things like what have happened in the past such as fast and engaging mechanics but since the past 3 leagues GGG has tried to slow the pace down which is unfortunate because the speed of GGG's arpg is what sets it apart from others in a big way.
I don't agree at all. The only thing is that you got used to something while I havnt - and probably would not even if played a long time. What (from my view) makes PoE "unique" is the freedom that you can play it in the way you want. There is no class limitations and other (unnessecery) forcings. And you need to think and have some plan to succeed (even if you can make it easier in that way to by follow a guide or so, and thats good).
I am also a part of the community and you view is not worth more than mine or someone else. And you can talk for you, not for me or other at the community.
Is it possible to kill the mobs faster than you do, while talking about the ones took a bit longer time. If, then that person may get a worse experience (or better, but it hasnt be as for you). If no one is faster than you I think that is good enough. I would understand more of that if you felt a big part of the mobs were in that way. (I didnt get that feeling you did.)
A bit varianion and freedom is imo only positive. You want easier mobs, you for sure will find them. That is what I mean and talking about. But I do understand that we all want to push futher in the game (and try new things). But it has to be differences in hardness. I can't see it any other way. The last I mean, when thinking of a changeyou need to consider more than, would this benefit me. Whats the downside - because there always is whatever you change or do. A lot is not easy to answer though - and out feeling is easy to "follow".
Like I said you don't get it. Nothing to do with being used to something this is a new league with new content and changes and having played the game for 10 years I do feel what the others are complaining about.
You seen to reference soccer so let me put it like this to you. yes you have a main game but once in a while your soccer club throws an event for you all and they were putting rump steak on the table and quality foods but all of a sudden they decide to put dog food up for you all to eat. Pretty sure a lot of people gonna complain about that event.

Couldnt we compare in a fair way at least? [deleted what I wrote]
Because its time wasting trying to discuss. You just dont give a shit about questions. Brawling as last message and thats what you do.
They had a lot of extra time to work on this one, yet the amount of extremely obvious tuning issues they are having to hotfix makes it clear nobody really "played" this mechanic at any point during development. As usual, as it has been with so many other league mechanics on release.
It's not even niche stuff. Like as soon as the league was revealed I thought to myself, freeze, slows and knockback are probably going to be pretty useful in this mechanic. Here we are a bit over week into the league and GGG is surprise pikachu face patching knockback and slows into oblivion because people were using them effectively. I refuse to believe nobody on a QA team would have thought about controlling enemies in a game mode about keeping enemies away from your side of an arena.
Then there are all the other obvious playability issues. There was no playtesting. There was a halfassed attempt to check if the mode "functioned" and the rest was left to the players to stumble through.
I can't help but feel we are being forced to play ruthless in some way. That's just how I feel about this league and it's exactly the reason I avoid ruthless I'm not pro but I'm not a terrible player either this whole league is just overkill. I understand they trying hard to work on poe2 but that's like almost 2 years away, closed beta isn't till 1 year away.

What's so "Ruthless" about this league? You can die over and over again in the league mechanic with no real consequences other than losing a silver coin. And the league mechanics aren't that hard if you actually think about your 'board'.
I do agree that Ruthless as a whole has probably had some influence on the core game, but I just don't see any new elements this league to support that.
Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.

The slowing down of the game is the main thing I see sorry I wasn't so clear on that.

Yeah, "slowing down the game" doesn't really tell me much. Are you talking about the speed of combat (action-to-action gameplay) or are you talking about the progression?
I'm a real fan of a fast PoE (that's why I'm skeptical of PoE 2). But I'm also a fan of "things to do" - and once the progression is gone, my enjoyment of the game is gone. So I wouldn't mind them slowing down the progression, preferably by adding "new things to do" (example: Crucible trees).
Anyhow, I don't really see many changes this league that slows the gameplay or the progression down.
