Crossplay/CrossTrade on PoE 2

Hey guys,

We currently know that Path of Exile 2 will be available for PC and new console generations (PS5 and Xbox Series X).

So I would like to know how tight the integration will be between the PC and Console versions.

Will we have crossplay? Will we have crosstrade? What will we have between PC and Console?

There will be no crossplay or crosstrade as they are entirely separate realms. Sony and Microsoft licensing requirements etc.

Back around Expedition league (whatever league GGG integrated trade site with consoles and added the dirext whisper function) GGG put out a statement informing the console community that these were some of the first steps towards implementing crossplay so that there was no longer a split between the economies. The one big downside that came along with their plans however was to remove the trade board... trading is just too cumbersome on console for that to work even with the trade site for most trades. I think if this happens then console poe will be 90% more dead than it already is.

It'll happen at some point, there's nothing stopping them from doing it, as much as people like to pretend consoles are against crossplay for literally no reason. It'd be really cool to happen with PoE 2 but most likely won't be around then, I feel like it'd have been announced already.

No it's not. There's a lot of games that have full cross play between PC, Xbox and PS. Just a few big examples are Diablo 4, FF14 and Destiny 2.

This talk that Sony is difficult for Crossplay is no longer applied today.

Finally someone posts some facts as I too could have sworn Jonathan confirmed it would be cross play
