played balormage's version of psrs last league as a second character - aegis, ag, expensive cluster, aul, etc. - loved the playstyle. Agreed that cheaper life-on-block setup + no ag should actually feel better, especially early
very tempting to start it, so basically we'll need: 1. darkness enthroned - any idea of first few days prices? 2. random covenant - this will be few divines unless people are afraid of poison nerfs 3. sword - also depending on build popularity can be few divines 4. for poison chance, we can use chance to poison support, now we'll need three random 12%+ minion poison jewels, 2 into belt, one standalone. w/o other useful modes, should be cheap? (but we want chaos damage on these ideally) so still not sure whether: a. start minions and hope to switch quickly b. start other witch build - fire trap ignite ele? - and respec once I get a bit of currency c. do something else entirely this league I like your idea of doing both srs AND absolution. When do you feel this setup falls off in maps? | |
" I was able to do quest exarch eater carries with my absolution srs setup on maps. You would want to swap to poison in day 1 or 2, whenever u get a chest, sword and darkness with jewels to 100% poison chance. They were not that expensive you just have to get a good grind going. You start minions, rerolling would be a huge waste of time and money. It is not that hard to get a poison srs going. Even in 5 link it is superrior to other starters. How do you play at the same time both srs and absolution? You have to cast them both at all times. Isn't that hard?

absolution minions have longer duration, so its not like you need keep spamming them

I planned to start as Ignite Elementalist or some sort of miner/trapper saboteur/trickster but I changed my mind.
This looks awesome as starter and last time I played SRS was few years ago so it will feel fresh for me. Also I don't play many builds in league so I prefer starters that can be upgraded to Ubers killer than making new build for it. Is there somewhere a PoB link with the SRS/Absolution setup and with Poison SRS? I know I can see the tree/skills/gear in the PoE planner but I also like to have PoB for easier gear upgrading. " I am sorry I dont use pob. But it should not be hard to follow the links to guide yourself from srs abso into poison srs. You just need the required items I mentioned in the original post. " You need 3 monsters to spawn 3 absolutions then you can just refresh them from time to time while skipping pacts. I prefer srs more on single targets since absolution clears most of the trash mobs. Few observations: - If using SRS for single target and absolution for clear, I'd link them with elemental damage with attacks or xxx damage support instead of melee splash. - After you get absolution, it's better to not link infernal legion to SRS, otherwise it's too many clicks between srs and absolution on a boss - a mistake I made during my quick act 1 test on merveil lol - I'd consider swapping purity of elements for anger + generosity later in the acts / in maps (only if being res capped and feeling lacking for damage, otherwise being ailment immune is awesome) I'll probably going to league start it and ping you for specters during the first few days unless I'd be too afraid of covenant being 20d or something :). Never played absolution before and love summon playstyle, so it'd be cool experience. | |
" - I use multistrike to swap it with melee splash on bosses - I recommend not to use infernal legion. I think it is a waste of gem spot. - I am at lvl 85 and tier 10 maps and still using purity for ailment immunity. I dont find any damage ouras to be benefitting us before transitioning into srs poison. However, we could use a temporary aura thanks to eldritch battery to help with our damage if you would have the sockets to fit it in. Gl with the league start ^^ Trust your mind and strengthen your abilities!
