I was thinking of moving to ignite vortex but the damage on pure cold DoT seems like it can get very juicy. Any high impact items or tree adjustments I can make to really scale damage?

Would it be better to craft 55-64% Increased Spell Damage or 51-60% Increased Cold Damage w/ Chance to Freeze.

The amulet and wand are good. Its just expensive.

I will release a video on min-maxing wand/shield/amulet this weekend. I wanted to release it last weekend but was too busy.

Although ignite vortex and cold DoT are graphically similar and the same ascendancy, ignite vortex is quite different from Cold DoT. It uses the initial spell cast of vortex to ignite the monsters.

Hence if you check out ignite vortex, the items are very different. This is unlike physical damage builds where they use cold conversion to scale damage.

I will go for the increased spell damage without the chance to freeze.

Chance to freeze only applies to the initial spell cast, and VCS already freezes all surrounding monsters on initial spell cast (unless you link Awakened Ele Focus to VCS).

Just a personal touch the build - I dropped some damage nodes to take a caster wheel for the mastery "25% chance to open nearby Chests when you Cast a Spell". Since vortex is one left click we are constantly casting spells, and it reduces the need to click things like breach hands, strongboxes, expedition chests, and such. It's a bit of QOL at the cost of some passive points I'm willing to trade for.
Hey guys, i've been following your advices on gear and managed to fix some res to get death ring and level up to 100(it feels really good to play with it lmao), now im looking for ways to get more res and some stats on different pieces to be able to get better gloves and weapon but its been hard to find good itens, this is my pob right now https://pobb.in/zUD0ozVX4t7Z my biggest question though is what should I farm now at level 100? red altars with expedition still or are there better options? expedition is the only thing ive been doing because of op's video and i dont know much of the other leagues, also would appreciate any tips you have on what to improve or do rn(im already looking for implicits and enchants on the uniques though)

I have been doing harvest farm, this is my strategy. It's a bit expensive though with all the compasses etc and you will die quite a bit but its fun and you dont have to trade often, just for compasses, scarabs, and sell the lifeforce in bulk

Strat is basically use scarabs for pack size with the growing hordes keystone (any scarab is fine), increased chance for expedition but not forced so it comes up some times, uses extreme archaeology keystone for faster clear and dannig/tujen increased chance.
When running the map go straight to the boss, then the elder altars will more often give you + quant + item rarity option, always choose that.
The main part is harvest, and it scales with pack size and item quantity. Do harvest for last in the map
Maps are sustaiend with singular focus, some shaping nodes and duplicate minor nodes. There is also some tormented spirit tech but not sure how good it really is. Also shrine tech to make clearign speed faster.
You should only run 20 quality 8 mod corrupted maps, i usually filter those that aren't 100% item quant. You can run unidentified corrupted maps aswell with the compass that gives +20% pack size to unidentified maps
