Diablo 4 is POE KILLER !!.

I understand that this is a bait, but I want to say a few words about D4.
I've tired of Blizzard games. All of them are just pay-2-win trash that effectively making only characters for NSFW-content .
About D4 itself. I just don't understand how people can seriously say that will be PoE-killer game and at the same time has awful graphic (cuz it doesn't look like a game that was in develepment for almost a decade with Blizzard budgets (and please don't tell me about "they r trying to make low requirements for bigger audience" - no, they don't)), gameplay is just a joke, endgame just doesn't exist (u'll have a few patterns for dungeons that r basically pipes with mobs), and icing on the cace - EVERY type of monetization - 2 different battle passes - one for peasants and other for gigachads, microtransation like cosmetics or same that were in Diablo Immortal, all DLC's will be on full-price and all of that fo 70 bucks minimum.
Spoiler
*Few words about endgame and why I think there will be no endgame content in D4 - name me at least one Blizzard game that has good content roadmap and that content is not content for some holidays like Halloween events or Ney Year event and doesn't pay-2-win game*

But at the same time I understand that D4 will bring some good money cuz they have some strange fanbase that always saying "boooo, Blizzard bad, we want normal games", but at the same time every of them preorders every Blizzards game and buying microtransactions.

Lol and this isn't "bait" either?

You don't think a ton of PoE players wont be at least trying D4? Of course they will. All paying Diablo customers, not delusional Blizzard fanboys. Pretty weak dude.

And D4 is by far the better looking game, with far superior combat and performance. Is it designed to be PoE level complex mechanically? No. That was never the intention. D4 isnt trying to be PoE, and they don't even care what elitist viewpoints the niche crowd has here ultimately.

So yeah PoE isn't "dying" but to claim D4 is just some rando Blizzard trash, is some epic levels of copium, and the lost PoE player counts will be in direct opposition to what you are claiming.

We won't have to wait much longer though. D4 will likely be one of the largest game launches in history, will probably shatter Twitch's viewership record, and will dwarf anything PoE has ever seen in terms of player participation. In not even a competition, its an obliteration.

If D4 isnt for you, that's fine, keep grinding out those crucible totem passives and praying for divine minion eldritch altars. Millions of others will be doing something else.

Of course millions will play something else. You can't expect to get every human into the same game. This also works the same way for D4.

But not to disappoint your expectations, even D4 is going to inevitably die down to close to no players after the peak time is over. Could last a few weeks, a couple of months but for sure not for too long. Bliz is just not able to hand out good games for long term fun anymore these days. Fun only lasts while it's fresh and new until people realize that the offered content is close to non existent.
Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun.

How would you even begin to honestly say anything like that when you have no idea what the seasonal models will bring.

D4 should perform well for a decade just like D3 did. It's massive copium to believe D4 will fail in a few months. I think that's absurd.

As loathsome as it is to do so, I have to agree with DarthSki44 here. Like I've litterally never heard a single human say anything good about Diablo Immortal, thing still made insane amount of money, so clearly people where buying it (and buying A LOT of it). I've got a TON of negative to say about D3, but I can't say it died fast, or was in anyway but a pretty big success, particularly after Reaper of Souls. People complaining in Forums are VERY rarely representive of a products success, even if they're 100% right in their claims.

D4 will likely last for a while, the only thing it MIGHT kill is D3. And let's be real, it might not even do that (depends how Blizzard handles the D3 servers, because Blizzard might CHOOSE to kill D3, to save server costs and encourage D4 sales). It wouldn't surprise me at all in a decade when people will claim the new ARPG to be the D4 killer or the next PoE killer in a long line of hitmen. Games die to mismanagment and a loss of identity, rarely because a new hotness came out (if the latter was true, it was a passing fancy of a game that was only going to be temporary ANYTHING could replace things that are just sorta intended to be temporary).

I talked it up quite a bit during its beta because, as usual, it's a Blizzard game that, in concept, is pretty good in its beta. Before the p2w element was put in or at least revealed in all its grotesque ambition, it was a nice diablo 2.5 experience with a lot of D2 continuation and D3-lite combat. I was particularly fond of how much Xul (the Necromancer PC from D2) featured in the storytelling, because damn do I love his voice-acting and sardonic style.

But as with World of Warcraft (the beta for which I also enjoyed), the product itself served more as a vehicle for gross money-making than as a game to be enjoyed. Even now, you can play the Diablo Immortal I beta tested, for free, and get a good handful of hours of light Diablo storytelling/action out of it. It's just that instead of the story being the focus, it's the hook into the more financially demanding endgame loop. Sound familiar? It should -- that's GAAS101 and both Blizzard/NetEase and GGG/Tencent have it down to an artform.

But I will still say good things about Diablo Immortal because I play a lot more mobile/android games than some here and I know it still isn't the most insidious of them, and it gives more for free than a lot of them. I still uninstalled it the moment I finished 'the story' because, again, I play a lot more mobile/android games than some here, which means I'm pretty adept at knowing when to cut them off. When the inflection point between 'free content' and 'financially-demanding grind/loop' hits.

It is a well-made, well-written, well-composed little Diablo-lite for the duration of its actual story, one quite rewarding for a Diablo 2 veteran eager to hear from old friends like Xul, Charsi, Akara and Kashya. It's definitely better written than Diablo 3, but that's hardly saying much. And sure, it uses familiar (to mobile players) mechanics, but so what? It's free, so why not?

Because that 'free' is the hook. Of course it is. Approach it like an ARPG and you're fucked -- you'll get invested in the character, the power loop, the gear hunting, all that. But treat it like a short vacation in Sanctuary set between the events of D2 and D3 where the gameplay is almost irrelevant and you'll be fine. For a few hours.

I am astounded how much money it's making in light of this. I honestly thought I had poor financial self-control (and given who and what I was to PoE, many would argue I do) but jesus, Diablo Immortal sucked a hell of a lot of people into the most obvious p2w trap I've seen in years. Fuckin' blew my mind.

Another undercover GGG employee that secretly works for blizzard as a double agent and knows how d4 end game will be...Were are you keep on coming from..

Poe has mtx + kirac vault...POE2 will be as bland as repetitive and tastless as POE1, the fact that you need to waste your time on a casino game like POE is disgusting...so yea, we can say that POE1/2 suck as much as d4.

It will perform well enough for a time being yes, but will it be heavily overfilled and populated with a large amount of players? likely not. It's going to be fun for a while till people run out of content or begin to get bored of the story. But I mean even a 14 year old mmorpg with less than 200 active players is still considered as "alive" so

As is for the seasonal models, what do you expect to get? Something massive and new out of the box? You really should keep your excitement down as it's very obvious and likely that you only get the same stuff you had years ago in previous diablo games.
They add a small gimmick to let a new season feel fresh while they continue to water down the base game more and more with every season. Pretty much the same way they did it with D3 after RoS became a thing. So back to paragon leader board grinding, one or two seasonal set meta sets for each class while everything is utterly trash and unplayable. And knowing Bliz very likely some sort of battle pass which is going to feed ya with materials.

But I mean if you enjoy to play a d3 and lost ark hybrid it's fine, but you can't get everyone else to believe that d4 is suddenly the big change for the arpg market, or that Bliz actually wants to offer a great game.
Fact is Bliz is known to just milk out money since quite a while by now. They don't have any interest do offer you great games anymore as they only care about your money (and their strange personal interests within the management area lol). Best examples are DI, the latest WoW expansion which was quite disappointment giving to how little they add and even how limiting the new race and everything was. But I guess it was the cheapest choice to design just one class for a single new race as you save up a lot of money without the need for additional animations and so on. Or what about Overwatch 2? literally the same game as 1 sold as a different game.

Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun.

Well at least I can ammend the statment to a count of 1, even if I'm pretty tepid about counter 'things that happened in beta' as real feedback to the product.

Without a doubt. Still took a shower afterwards.
drastically different games with absolutely disconnected player bases
d4 players are the kind of players to open poe and never launch it again
