[3.22] Sunblast Self-Chill Explosive Trap Trickster

It abuses an underused unique that was reworked last league called the Sunblast which grants all trap skills two extra traps for every trap thrown. Sunblast frees up an extra support to add dps to Explosive Trap as its better at putting traps on the ground than Swift Assembly. It also abuses self-chill to make speed running bosses short and to the point. The Trickster ascendancy then provides good defenses with a focus on Energy Shield. Hey man watched your video now few times and pretty sure i am going to play first weeks of league this if no nerfs for 3.21 :P Also posted in ur video and waiting for league start setup guide :D Would imagine saboteur being better to league start and swap to this version when have some currency and perfect crime jewels?

With sunblast making traps trigger at the end of the duration can you still generate charges from talents that require enemies to activate traps?

" Sunblast prevents you from generating charges, BUT if you have Skitterbots on they will grant you the charges instead so you still benefit from things like Arcane Pyrotechnics, Master Sapper, etc. |

Hey thanks for video. Still waiting for the actual leveling/early game video. Here are some things i would love to see in it :D
- Detailed support gem 3-4-5-6-link options. What gems to use for map atlass clearing and then for early bossing? I have seen so many different setups from poe.ninja so as a trapper noob its hard to know best gems and when to use - Early mapping gear - Priority order to upgrade gear - Attack mastery trick for adrenaline? - Mana issues early on - Master sapper now far away so good option to use medium thread of hope? Is it even worth to go pick up? - Mark the prey node seems pretty strong so getting large thread of hope seems like insane thing to invest on to save massive points :D - When to start use sunblast - Order what to pick from trap mastery (30life one is pretty insane for campaign what i tested) What do u think about this starting tree for leveling? " I'm recording the video now, but I'll go ahead and give you my early leveling PoB I've been working on all weekend AND my intro to endgame PoB (around 10div estimated, 25m pinnacle dps and pretty decent defenses). I did a full level with this to test it out NOT using Arcane Surge and the vendor wands just to make sure it would feel good. It feels good, especially if you ID caster weapons and hunt for flat added to spells anytime you see a Rune Dagger / Sceptre / Wand / etc. Flat added to spells is roughly 1/5 of the mod pool in low ilvl caster weapons: https://pastebin.com/bGSFR4Zh Here is my early Endgame setup. I estimate it will be roughly 8-10div worth of gear, depending on how expensive things like Call of the Void are on Day 2. There is one sceptre I crafted +2gems with for ~3-4div (I have a video on how to cheaply) and I just hit an Alternating Sceptre with a veiled chaos orb a few times to land the Trigger Craft. The rest of the gear is pretty basic, and the only fancy gem is an Anomalous Trap and Mine which on league start is like 20-25c. Any 8p phys cluster works, the notables aren't important, just don't take Master the Fundamentals on whatever you roll: https://pastebin.com/7gCcEdie I'll try to answer your questions in the league start video, but quickly I'll go ahead answer a few here: 1) I haven't thought about adrenaline yet. Looks awesome, can't wait to test it out 2) Master Sapper is pretty great, I'm planning on pathing to it unless I go triple grand spectrums again. Not sure on that yet. 3) Mark the Prey is in a tough spot because that's where you'd want a pog Lethal Pride to help with Str and granting DD and other nice things. 4) Sunblast is absurdly strong, I would equip it at level 37 if I could. In 3.20 I stopped in Act 8 and heisted for 20-30 minutes to get the 5-10 chaos I needed to buy it on Day 1. I plan on doing the same thing again, depending on how much they are. As far as when to do each skill, I laid out the trees per Act so you can scroll through them to see what I did in my test level earlier today. Priority upgrade on gear is a longer conversation I'll make sure to address in the league start video. Shoot me any questions if you have more. I am personally going to pick first accendancy point on One Step Ahead and then swap it away maybe at yellow maps or so. Really QOL choise and speed>dps for early gaming xD
Something i am wondering since kinda hate random 50/50 moments is to skip Hearstopper and instead pick Swift Killer (maybe red maps) and then use Ralakesh's Impatience boots swap trick to get insta charges and oh boy they last long with swift killer. Should be good for all bossfights ^^ i will edit under this more questions when it comes on my mind :P 1. What guard skill to use now? How much armor needed that vaal molten shell would still be king? 2. Toughs on staying with shield instead? 3. Shock/ignite fix? I know the new mastery but its kinda meh if your map rolls gound shit. Garukhan's Flight boots would be amazing for this but it comes with DPS and resist loss so not sure... if using shield with resist would be an option for QoL and defence :P Well ignite can be gotten trought ring implicit but shoc immunity would be great to have :D Last edited by juju#3413 on Apr 2, 2023, 12:19:29 PM

" So how exactly does damage work? In some PoBs you opt to put the trap count to 10 and in some you choose 24. I'm extremely unfamiliar with traps so I don't know if there's a reason between this discrepancy or not.
