Devs did PS5 dirty. Why is PoE so low quality on PS5 compared to Xbox?

So I have custom built PC with a rtx 3080. Game looks best PC obviously. I played this season on my Series X. I like my PS5 more and even like the PlayStation control over my elite xbox controller. So I decided I would make the switch to PS5 for PoE.

PoE on PlayStation or PS5 says its running in 4k but its so low quality it looks like 720p. I compared to my Xbox and it was night and day better. PS5 version looks like a Nintendo Switch version compared to Xbox.

I have a LG C1 oled with both my consoles hooked up to. I even run my Xbox in PoE on performance which PS5 version does not have.

Series X 4k 120fps vrr
PS5 4k 60 fps no vrr game is blurry and looks like its in 720p. The graphics are so low res.

I would image some sort of PS5 Edition with PoE2 next year.

Remember that's it technically a ps4 game.

Series X is a Xbox one game. And PS5 is a PS4 game. The difference is the playstation really is a ps4 game where the Xbox is a up to date series x version.

Was really shocked by the console differences today. I don't think PlayStation users notice or care. But they would if they knew how much better the Xbox version of PoE is.

I really wanted to make the switch to playstation but I guess I'll stick to pc or xbox.

I would hold my breath on PoE 2. Seems like that is never coming. Only been hearing about it for 3+ years that its right around the corner.

Exactly, but this is where im sorta confused. It is a ps4 game so why is that "dirty" for a PS5 owner? Now if it was shitty optimized PS5 version I'd be with you. It's not that however.

Possibly related: a lot of ps5 owners feel the ps4 version of Warhammer 40k Inquisitor Martyr is superior to the new ps5 upgrade in terms of performance. I suspect the ps5 is something of a mystery to smaller PC-centric Western devs even now. So some of them don't even bother with a ps5 upgrade or if they do do one it can be...less than impressive. Usually I expect haptic feedback and adaptive controller usage but genuine 4k fluidity...nope.

Its not as though PoE on ps4 was ever considered a great version of the game anyway. I tried it on my ps5 and was like well...that exists I guess.

The name says it all.
PoE on Xbox One ran at 4k. I remember a big article about how it took only hrs to get PoE to run at 4k on Xbox One. Now PoE runs 4k 120fps. Yet PS5 is running 1080p at 60fps.

I was wrong saying ps5 ran at 4k. I looked it up and ps5 runs 1080p.

This is not a rip on Sony or fan boy post. I love every console and PC. I wanted to play PoE on my PS5 because it seems the player base is twice as big.

PS5 is 8gbs and runs at 1080p 60fps.

Series X is 40gbs and runs at 4k 120fps.

Allot of people think GGG dislikes console. But man they really don't like PlayStation.

Like I tell my kids I have no favorites. I love them all different but equal. Same goes for PC and consoles.

Xbox is closer to pc than ps5 is.
It's way easier and faster to port game from pc to xbox or the other way around than pc to playstation.

Yeah. DirectX, I would assume.
Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.
Diablo IV will look fantastic on PS5 while PoE will still look shit.
