How is ruthless ssf going for u guys/girls? ^^

been progressing today and i'm currently midway through Act 8 and along the way got some nice stuff. Early in Act 8 these boots dropped i was hoping i'd eventually get some movement speed boots, these are more than i expected!

Earlier in Act 5 a nice Unique ring dropped it's a great QoL, saves a button press lol.

I also found a nice amulet

I had a few supports drop but only a couple are useful for this character atm

All in all today has been quite rewarding and my character feels nice to play, Eye of Winter and Cold Snap work well so far, i'm toying with the idea of switching to Winter Orb if i take Swift Killer.

Made some new chars. Including a Toxic Rain Deadeye. Survivability isnt good enough for later I think. Will see... And build has issues with low INT and mana.

I play in SC but maybe half of my deaths in maps are to crystal skin. That mod alone would be enough reason for me not to play HC anymore.

Apparently the #2 Deadeye also RIPped to Crystal Skinned. I am basing that on the new character name "Crystal_Skinned_Ike"... Which seems to be a minion Necromancer.

Reached maps at level 71 and subsequently ran a handful, nothing worthwhile dropped from them and I'm thinking that's it until next league or even PoE 4.0, I'll be playing Diablo IV before that's released.

I feel as if getting to maps is end game for me, especially as drops won't improve and the mobs are much harder, my damage isn't enough. Mapping feels pointless after the Campaign, it feels like Ruthless really shines during the Campaign.

Anyway I'd reach level 73 as a Trickster and this is my gear, the body armour was the result of my only Alchemy Orb used on a Sadist Garb bought from Weylam Roth.

Reservation gems do seem to drop - just no Determination...

I would strongly advise against it. I tried that with my guardian summoner and those mini carrion golems could barely kill rares in act 10, after doing T6 with other minions( and I had +3 to phys gems gear so the golems were level 19 on 4 link)

I'm still grinding yellows but MF looking good

Got my first Ascension after failing spectacularly the run before that.

Missing supports really hurt a lot more on melee than they did in the Alpha on a Cold Snap/ Freezing Pulse shadow.
However, using every remotely useful skill gem that dropped feels interesting. It's like what the pre-release name of the game (OWN - One with nothing) suggested: You're shipwrecked in a hostile environment and you need to make do with what is there.

This would, of course, work better, if the game was more balanced around that instead of trading your way to endgame. For now it works, but I dread the moment I get to maps.

Early mapping on SC was surprisingly smooth on my CA/TR Raider (I posted her gears from my secondary account to this thread). Lava Lake is scary, and now as I've started HC on this account, I'll probably postpone it a little.

Almost capped my spell suppression (99%) with the help of this nice body armour

Level 61 now and not a single support gem in use. Only dropped four; after one 3:1 my Holy Flame Totem Hierophant has seen 4 attack supports and Cold to Fire. Surely I can get a support gem before maps, right?

Wouldn't bet on it.
