What Happened with Items
" This is delusional, this only happens in 1 out of 50+ maps when the stars align and you find that Solaris or Kitava touched mobs. There is nothing "fun" or "enjoyable" about this for the vast majority of players. " "We think/We feel" are not quantifiable arguments over half of the population left the game in 5 days of the league. So it seems that what you guys "feel" and what the player base "feels" don't overlap very well. " It seems that the community thinks and "feels" like you did just that. " The feedback from the community is overwhelming and I find it hard to believe that you guys aren't seeing it: - Keep nerfing AN mobs or better yet rework it from the ground up - not an option it seems; - Keep buffing loot or better yet return the old loot settings - not an option it seems; - Be more transparent about your vision - this post is a step in the right direction. - Fix crafting, listen to the community's top crafters (They've given you tons of feedback so far) and act accordingly. I'm not a game dev and I'm "new" to PoE, but it does seem like most of your fanbase so far doesn't feel good about the changes. You will always have your addicts or people who genuinely feel that the current state is the best thing to happen to PoE, but they are a small minority, they don't produce content on the big platforms and they aren't the "face" of your game/community. The people who do are extremely annoyed, to the point that they've quit or think of quitting the game. This will be my last comment on the topic most likely and it's extremely subjective, but since we're talking about feelings, I genuinely don't feel "rewarded" for playing the game. I'm lucky that I've picked a spec that doesn't have major problems with the current state of the game and the few problems it has are being addressed, but this doesn't speak well for the future prospects of me returning next league or sinking any more money into it. I've made 3 purchases so far (at the very start of the league), because I felt that the league will be fun (based on my experience in 3.18 and the hype from the content creators on various platforms) long before I got anywhere near the issues and frankly I regret giving you my money, I can only imagine the people who've given you thousands of dollars and now they don't enjoy the game they've supported. Before anyone feels agitated by my comment, remember that this is an open forum and we can all express our opinions, I don't go out of my way to argue with people about subjective topics lie satisfaction from the gameplay, we all have our differences and we should respect each other. Good luck exiles. |

" EXACTLY THIS !!! |

This is very appreciated. In the future a "hey, we'll communicate soon" will at least let us know there's no radio silence. This stuff happens.
I think the two biggest issues are the number of changes that happened at the same time as the loot issue (i.e. important harvest crafts being removed, archnemesis buffs, the kalandra thing, the nerf on tainted currency) too much stuff at once leaves a feeling of fire everywhere. And secondly, the whole communication issue, obviously. I'd very much like to see a slight nerf to archnemesis damage, or at least a smoothing of its curve based on map tier and modstacking. I cannot imagine what a 4 mod archnem will hit for in a corrupted 8mod t16 map right now... There's also a giant crater left for crafting. The "reforge X more common" crafts were crucial for low end crafting and they are gone. I can understand removing the reforge keeping suff/preff if you want to nerf the top end of crafts, but this was communicated as the removal of less relevant crafts so I'm still worried. Specially after the recent changes seem to have been made to crafts no one was talking about. Other than that, I still feel like bubblegum currency and shards could use a buff in drop rates. Not to mention, I worry that we will be left in a space were we are forced to have some amount of IIQ and IIR in every character, which is made way harder by the aforementioned harvest removals and difficulty increase. Still, the communication is a weight off my shoulders now tbh. |

Chris, I am sorry it is nowhere near previous leagues in terms of loot.
-sigh |

So Basically what you are saying is, this is a multiplayer game only, geared towards the rewards dropping for teams with juiced up maps only and NOT for the single player, even with the same juiced maps, which in the most part are your player base, not just the top players with large Guilds, I play this game with my wife when we have time so my guild is 2, so basically I should be forced to join a larger guild, or quit playing as a single player as I will NOT get the same rewards.

Putting all the drops on one mob with 50 divines is a terrible idea. That means you are losing money on your juiced maps for a long time and then boom, you own your neighbor's house.
The last version where drops were more spread out was better. |

" NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE! Dunno what game you are playing but it isnt the same as me and many many thousands of others. I have waaaaaay less currency so far this league compared to previous ones and I'm playing about the same as usual. Chris you are completely missing it... This whole thing gives me no hope for the future of the game. Ascension tied to Lab is the worst thing GGG has done...apart from GGG's philosophy on Trading. Oh and Gambling Loot boxes. And selling out to tencent.
I used to love GGG. I supported to ensure GGG remained independent, now I just wish I could get my money back. -_- |

I'm personally really enjoying this league.
I honestly hope that the GGG team is doing okay and is able to keep the toxicity out of their personal lives - the vocal community has become extremely difficult to deal with. PoE has been and likely will always be my favorite game. This league in particular I've really enjoyed the change of pacing, though I know it's not everyone's cup of tea. The Lake itself is an awesome zone and the unique stat flipping/doubling mechanic is so fun! Thank you so much for all that you do. Please keep up the good work :). |

Guys, I am not top pro player (only 2k hours in PoE) but I gotta say that I am enjoying this league much more that the previous ones, the drops are better for me than previous legues, Kalandra mechanic is simple yet rewarding enough. The only thing that's clunky is finding items on trade sites and failing to contact sellers in game, but it's maybe just me.
Anyways, GL all! Cheers! |
