What Happened with Items

The only right thing at this point is league re-launch.
You know what, Chris? Show us all YOU can play the game in this state and doing good. Take a day off, go on Twitch, and make us all go silent with your talent. Show us, the stupid plebs, how you play the game, how this game is meant to be played by the master of THE VISION.

I'm sure there will be tens of thousands of people eager to learn from the master how you can kill an AN rare in a red map using only some shizzy rares dropped by RNJesus for you, because you beat the crafting to death. And the loot. And, most important, THE FUN.

Until you do that, I will consider that either you have a massive (nice abused word, btw) lack of "weights" in your undies, or you love to lie to us again, and again, and again. No offense, of course.

The truth is that mapping feels horrible now, most streamers look like their dogs just died, and we don't see you addressing players' main concerns.

Also regarding Harvest, why did you remove reforge keeps, reforge much more likely, jewel implicits, and socket colors. What is the point of all this?

Many crafts still required many harvest tries + several other non-deterministic steps, such as elevating mods, awakener orb two bases, blocking mods + ex slamming, using aisling and blocking again, etc. Harvest was in a very good balance in terms of power, but along with solving the itemization problem you created a bigger one, which is that very few people are crafing stuff now. Many great players ended up swithing from SSF or HC SSF to trade league this patch because of that change alone.

Sentinel leauge was the best state of the game EVER imo, just revert the loot affecting changes, making the core game more rewarding is all good but dont GUT the leauge content because of it. It felt good before, not OP not insane not over the top, just good so obivously breaking the balance that existed for the last 2-3 leauges would break the AMAZING state of the game we had, i dont get how this is hard to understand.

And as well you didnt actualy buff "normal" content, you just made 1/1000000 mobs drop what should have come from 10000 mobs. Before you were incentived to actualy PLAY THE GAME and interact with at least all of the rares and magic mobs now you dont even want to touch 999/1000 rares because they can instagib you with bareley any loot at all even though the 1/1000 mob will give you stuff. The best way to play atm is litteraly to just not interact with the content that isnt "the loot giving" part because normal mobs and even most leauge content is just not worth interacting with if you want to actualy improve in a resonable amount of time.

Most people dont have 40 hrs a week to roll the dice and just never get the actualy "improved" loot that you talk about and as such we just have NOTING LEFT and it feels more like playing a slot machine to improve rather than consistentley playing content we enjoy to improve our characters. We are now pidgeonholed into speedrunning rare maps looking for that 1 mob that gives us currency rather than playing the lauge content we enjoy or fighting all of teh monsters the game has to offer.

i'm at almost 2000hrs playtime in PoE and this sounds like a fever dream to me.
So... If I would sum up what's happening here :

It's an Archnemesis League and not a Lake of Kalandra League right?
If we get "special bonus rewards" only from Archnemesis monsters and that you keep untouched the loot break you did on everything else.

I do thank you for all your text and the effort you are making here.
But the problem is still there and it feels that GGG can't care at all and want to keep this problem on.

PS : I apologize for what I'm gonna say, professional deformation.. but...
So much text is not user friendly at all. On top of that you have tools to create a superb post with bold text, underline, images, etc...
Anyway...
I have no complaints about the drop rate. I think it's fine for my play style.
I actually find the maps more rewarding than before.

But some of the archnemesis mods are still horrible:
Storm Strider
Magma Barrier
Herald of obelisk

And I don't see the reward scaling with the risk.
If these mods were rewarding I would not complain but this is not the case.

I agree that needed a nerf bad, the group juicing was insane. I still feel it needs a nerf to some degree actually.

It feelt a bit bad at launch mostly cause the league mechanic was bad compared to earlier ones. so it amplified the loot issue hard. I will say though it does not feel super bad in the current state, My main issue is still combination of archnem mobs destroying some non meta builds hard unless you play trade. Affecting build diversity outside of overgearing with trade hard. On top of this version of harvestcrafts just made it feel SUPERBAD at once. If we had the old harvestcrafts not harvest itself with the archnem testing it would probably have eased it up a bit and feelt better for many builds.

For regular players who are just alching their maps and adding difficulty where they feel they can handle it, we think that drops are in a pretty good place after this week's changes. They should have been like this at release, and I am deeply sorry that they were not.


I wish the most common map currency and maps honestly would get an increase in dropchance while the rest is alright. The basegame has always feelt kinda bad regarding getting going on a fresh start when there is no league mechanic supporting it. it feelt super clunky at some points but i play non trade aswell so i kinda expect it to be slower.

I still say though the item stuff felt mostly bad cause it feelt left out in the communication and I would prolly have swallowed it easier if it had been, my main issue this league is that archnemesis mobs just blends everything into a ball of spiked dmg. I don't feel like i do different content it all just sums up to either hard bosses (mavens/eater/exarch/sirus/shaper/elder, and their uber versions) which are awesome hard content to tackle. Then you have the archnem which just spikes you in the face with a uber sirus boss battle in the middle of a delve or a blight and just completly guts your stuff even though you are farming lower tier maps for rewards to progress gear.

I don't feel like i do blight anymore, I do russian roulette archnem mob simulator.

Going to end with saying that I was sad that all my friends stopped playing and that our groupfound start feelt super bad when we finally dragged some more people back, since sentinel balance feelt really good and i could recommend playing since most left after 3.15. Though the personal attacks and over the top comments makes me way more sad and frustrated. Cause there are lots of issues that could be communicated that gets overshadowed by tunnelvision and disgusting behaviour. While I can't really apologize for others I just wished to voice my support here. That shit is not ok.

Complete waste of my time.

This game and Chris's philosophy doesn't respect my time whatsoever. If i log in and play for 2 hours i want to be rewarded for my 2 hours.

Right now it's like a slot machine. I COULD get rewarded in these 2 hours but 90% of the time I won't get rewarded.

Chris probably want PoE to be like D2 aka A waste of time.

My time is more important than your vision and philosophy. Hope you are happy with the few players that are still left and are enduring this nonsense.
