What you're doing is creating a purity spiral that will eventually cleave from your game the entirety of its playerbase. This league is already sloughing players like flesh from the bloated festering corpse of its release.

Bring back 3.13, go back to how things were before, fuck the vision, the game's not fun. and if it isn't fun, what's the point?

I tried to break my brains over this post since it was posted this morning, and the only logical conclusion I can come to is that GGG is not as Out of Touch with their players as they are pretending to be. They know exactly what is on the roadmap for the next year, and as players we're all on rails right now to sit through a multitude of global game nerfs to reduce your power as a free player. They could never justify such a model for POE2 if players were able to progress "as normal" through the game.

They are slowly grooming you into "being ok" with losing your power and progression, the loot and items you are used to, and it will get substantially worse in the next few leagues. The currency drop nerfs you are experiencing right now are intentional and GGG knows exactly what they're doing. They also know you will all be frustrated with it.

They will increase rewards slightly over the next month. Not to get you back to 3.18 -> but to make you believe that "It was better at league launch" and hope you turn a blind eye. The next few leagues they will repeat this strategy. Strongest builds will see nerfs, the currency or crafting methods to create those builds will be eliminated or harder to achieve -> and the top end of players right now are betatesters for GGG to determine just how miserable their game needs to be to have enough incentive for people to purchase power in POE2.

I'll be back with my, "Told you so" quote when the POE2 models start rolling out and the game ends up being Diablo Immortal Lite

Glad I decided to wait a week or two before starting the new league. It is quite frustrating that every leaguestart seems like a betatest, with bugs/design flaws that should have been obvious and found out through basic testing. Not really a consumer-friendly practice, but GGG seems fine with it since it works (for now). Please slow down releases or hire/use more people to make sure the league is in a serviceable state before launching it. If some serious competition ever arrives, this attitude will spell trouble otherwise.

Oh yeah, and following up your pretty weak apology/roadmap with mystery box and season pass ads is bad taste.

This would be nice on official forum posts too, like this "What we're working on". Put a Like/Dislike icon at the end of every planned changes, and see if its wanted. Not worth developing something thats opposed by the majority of the current players, unless you wanna make a new playerbase, that has Mr. Wilson preferences.

POE was doing fine 2-3 leages ago, before the hardmode changes the game currently headed to.

Some suggestions for changes:

Archnemesis:
- When mixing multiple mods pick the highest value from each mod type (dmg, hp, etc.), don't stack them, plus a small multiplyer based on map tier.

Harvest:
- Give each monster a fix amount of life essence based on its type/tier (essenceBaseAmount x Tier) plus a fix multiplier (1.1-2.6x or something) based on map tier.

Loot:
- Make items drop on maps based on relevance more.
Act 1 items and currency on T16 monsters are not really needed.
Increase drop of relevant craft materials with map tier by a bit, and decrease the chance of getting not-relevant ones (transmute, armor scrap, scrolls) nobody wants to pick up.
Same for items, make specific basetypes and uniqes drop on specific map tiers.

(You could check relevance based on what people get from expedition NPC-s, rituals)


Reddit shows that a rating based system is extremly toxic. It just leads to a circle jerk. Every opinion that is outside the norm of the people who arrive first (the outrage mob for example) gets downvoted immediately and probably lost for most people who come after because most of them will only read the top comments.

Also, it's an absolute minority posting on these forums, not a majority...

League start :

Like every league that GGG said they are balancing stuff there are fewer and fewer builds left to be played. Check poe ninja. Kill Righteous Fire now like you did with every build that had high representation. So right now 3 builds are working Poisonous concoction , RF and EA Ballista...Like in the past 2 leagues. People will get there with loot that doesn't drop. They will probably make even lower budget builds :))

Archnemesis : still un addressed. Well addressed in a way but still bonkers broken. Not on leveling, or yellow or white maps or red...Everywere they are bonkers. I know they shoved a d@ick in our face with them and go on with it , but really, even the dirtiest wh@re out there can refuse.

Drops : Well I thought I was unlucky, glad to see they really f@cked that also. Trying to reduce garbage and instead destroying years of balancing.

Good thing we have boxes that don't spawn duplicates...O wait we f@cked other boxes in the process...

I wonder why people cannot see that they freaking f@ck it when messing with their own source of money, and expect them to do good with the game.

I will give it a couple of days, because I didn't get nervous enough. But it seems that this league I need to play a better garbage and I'll try DI.

I never comment on these things, but I've got to for this one.

New league mechanic? Feels great. No anxiety inducing timed rush mechanics, a 'create your own dungeon' feel, and I love the whole basalt theme. Incursion was my favourite league of all time, and the only thing I never liked was the timed incursions themselves. Running the temple was always fantastic.


The rest of it, though? Hoo boy, I barely even know where to start, but most of it's already been said here a dozen time, so I'm not even gonna try.

Please fix the drops. Just increase the item quantity - this tripe about not wanting more items that get filtered out means nothing. It doesn't matter how much stuff is getting filtered out as a side effect if it improves the drops people want to see.

And trying to shill a mystery box on a post like this? I'd ask 'Have you no shame?', but I guess that's already been answered.

I came back to Poe after a long hiatus because this is the first league mechanic recently that felt like it was actually going to be fun to play. Please don't ruin that for me by destroying the rest of the game in the process...

This is beyond saving.
Ligue is lost already.

Archnemesis that no one wanted are deep in game for good now. Still unbalanced and stupid combos that making rare mobs more deadly then uber version of final bosses.

Ppl are runing out of currency trying to complet all yellow maps.... the only places when you can earn somethin is heist actualy.. lake of kalandra omfg this is developed by a down somehow. Its borin ,takes a lot of time and its totaly wortless.

At the tol of this. Cherry on the pie.
Harvest. Srsy just remove it from game.

This ligue overaly looks like made by pll that never ever played this game b4.
