Hi, I have been having fun with the build but am now getting slaughtered in red maps. Just lost all 6 portals in a tier 11 map.
Admittedly its mostly league content like blight and expedition, so perhaps I just have to skip that stuff, but everything is taking so long to kill that it ends up killing me first. I might just be juicing things too much and need to scale it back a bit though!

Would appreciate a quick once over to see if I have anything set up wrong. Lots of upgrades still left to do but I don't have a ton of currency left atm.
Thank you for the build.

Honestly, you're just very early in the build. Most of your pieces have a mid int roll with no implicits, your boots are not annointed, you don't have all the auras, your gems aren't max level and quality, you have two completely useless flasks (quicksilver and mana). Can't look at your tree because I'm on my phone, but you probably don't have the jewels.

This is an exponential build, so as you slot upgrades, it'll feel much better. Follow the steps outlined in the guide and you should be good in no time.

By the way, if you're doing Blight, remember to always build lvl3 chill, lvl 3 empower and lvl3 stun towers in every choke before anything else, with the stun tower farther away from the pump. Do not upgrade these towers to lvl4. This should stunlock every mob completely, unless enough stun-immune critters get to the chill tower to max out its number of beams. With that technique, you don't even need to deal damage yourself and you can hide behind a wall for extra safety. The star pattern and double triple require being more active though.

Thanks! Yeah I think I was probably getting into too nasty situations for my level and gear and need to back off fully juiced expedition :D
I did change out those flasks, didn't mean to have those on there. I have some of the jewels but am sort of at that point where everything is starting to get really expensive and I only have 3 divines so trying to figure out where to go from here. I have my second cluster jewel just have not put it in yet since I dont have the points.

Hey I've tried the build in the past with success but going for it this league and for some reason I feel really really squishy. Is this just because my gems arent fully leveled yet? just doing some casual harvest/expedition in t16s. Thanks!

Your cold resistance isn't capped and your lightning resistance is at 76%, which makes you very vulnerable to curses. For example, during downtime from your -curse flask, in an elemental weakness map, your cold res gets down to 54%. You're taking almost double the damage your should be taking. Being affected by Frostbite is even worse. If your curse is reflected back to you, you can go as low as 42% res, which means you'd take 58% of damage instead od 25%, more than double.

That might explain why you feel so squishy.

For now, if you want to bolster your defenses while you get better gear, I'd suggest investing three points into Soulthief cluster + 1% EV per int mastery. Three points makes you get from 40% evade chance to 67%. That means that (exluding the entropy mechanic) you'd be getting almost half the damage from attacks for only three points.

As your gear gets better, your ES will get higher and you'll feel even tankier.

Hope that helps!

I do have a question about Sanctum. Now granted, I skipped the league and Crucible due to real life being a pita.

Given that we are pretty much melee, do you try to use your bossing staff from afar with mobs in there or just whirl around the mobs, frostblink away, then frostblink back, hoping you don't get hit (and don't lose resolve)?

Just curious if I should keep the books I have for a EA elementalist I plan on making once I get more currency.
New video: TotA at 1000+ Ranking

I like the TotA mechanics and rewards. I don't like many things in the current implementation. It's a one-way Delve. You can only go deeper and deeper. The enemies become tankier and deadlier. But the rewards don't really scale that much. I was getting multiple Divines at R=500, and I'm still getting them at R=1200 just about as often. Wish there was an option to use any Ranking between 0 and your personal max to farm TotA where you are comfortable - just like going horizontal in Delve.

At low Ranking with this build you can simply mow down all enemies and steamroll their base. But at 1000+ you can't do that anymore. They are very tanky and some of them will just 1-shot you. So then you have to use your brain to outmaneuver them.

Some units are very good at Flanking (Thunderbirds, Fieldmasters, Spear Dancers, Storm Guards). Some are very good at wasting the enemy's time (Caldera Ravagers, Jade Hulks, Hinekora Horns). Some can keep the enemy off your totems very efficiently (Tidecallers, Spear Fishers, Fieldmasters). There are some great items as well (things that give extra movement speed, less aggro, faster respawn).

The goal is to lure the enemy boss and attackers/flankers into fighting your attackers/defenders in your base while you sneak into their base with your flankers/escorts and demolish everything.

A small trick: touch a totem briefly to bait their defenders, but don't wait for them to hit and stun you for 5 sec. Pop Frost Shield and start killing them as they come while your escorts demolish totems.

Hello,

I am currently running this build on t16 maps and doing fine but when I look at my dps in PoB or POE overlay it says i only have 280k full dps. I am relatively new and I am not sure if this is a bug or if my damage is really this low. I have heard that most builds should be doing 1 mil + dps at this point. It doesn't feel like my damage is low, I am killing things just fine but the numbers seem off. Can someone look at my build and let me know what's going on?

Thanks

I was crafting my amulet and got pretty lucky with these mods. Any idea where to go from this? I have 2 open prefixes. I'll also need a lot of dex to swap Astramentis.

Why do you want to work in Ice Spear?

If you cast with the boss staf while you're hovering over a monster, as long as you do not let go of the button, you will continue to cast on that monster.
