Some not very surprising nerfs (Omniscience etc), and a couple of (potentially) stonkingly bad ones.
Mana Efficiency removed (made mandatory by your previous design decisions) that's gonna hurt. As will Defiance Banner nerfs. Spell Suppression is one of the few viable ways to manage spell damage, particularly given that we appear to be stuck with Arch-Nemesis. Minions? I don't personally play them but lots of people do. Not going to be happy... It would probably help if you shared a more up-to-date roadmap to POE2 so there would at least be some overall context for the changes. I know it exists as CW referenced it in one of his recent interviews. Why not share it at a high level. Changes feels very random and very punishing at the moment. Looking forward to the new league, but finding i play less as the rippy mechanics mean more focus - its hard to choose to play a game to relax that makes you tired. | |
Would have wished for something more so far, but still good balances, I am excited for the league and cannot wait for 2.0

" These people are just the ones who don't really enjoyed the game much to begin with. They only got like 6-7 challenges each league (I'd guess 2 weeks worth of playtime/league) and just shitpost here because they feel entitled to do so (even though they spent 0 dimes on the game, nor do they play it much, but hey its 2022, i can feel entitled now without doing anything in particular to be so). I'm not saying I like everything I've read, nor that I played 24/7 these past 2-3 leagues (ofc I have a life too), but hey, it's called BALANCE manifesto, not BUFF manifesto, some things are buffed, some are nerfed. The game doesn't suddenly become bad just because the skills I used these past 2 leagues (dd and ea) get nerfed. It just gets different. There's always gonna be a pretty wide choice of skills that will be strong and comfortable. One last thought though which I tend to give voice to more often recently: you don't like the game, step away, find a game you like. Getting mad and barking on forums won't change anything. I'm super excited for 3.19. Nothing I was hyped to do got nerfed and I think all the changes are interesting. I like moving the +2 mod out of necromancy, I just dont think its enough to encourage minion build diversity unless they give other ascendancies minion synergies. It would be cool if guardian was the spec for having a few really strong minions, like golems ect.
Also as someone whos made a janky trickster the past few league and largely failed I'm super hyped for a rework, I hope its chaos damage themed. I was hoping real melee buffs, i think better fort is a good step and ill have to see if 2x fort makes it viable on slow hitting skills. Buuuuut Whats with the tiny buffs on melee skills. There's still 0 draw backs for being a caster meanwhile melee is way more dangerous and does less damage. 20 % increase to 2h energy blade... does that mean their happy with the 1h damage? it could be 100% increase and it would be fringe playable.
