Some great suggestions here.

hideout creator here, ive read this entire thing and have to admit i agree with most ideas. some things really poked my eyes though so i have to comment on that:
1) decoration counter. i mean i dont disagree, i would love that to be implemented. but even if it cant, cant you just add a command that would show the number for example 2) speaking of adding a command, your /save_hideout command is the most insulting piece of text for anyone who makes hideouts. i mean yeah those who post on hideoutshowcase wont care as they already shared it and yeah people who cant make hideouts will actually like that command as it facilitates them stealing one, but the most important people here pretty much uniformly HATE this thing. i for example just wont play as this invalidates work ive spent much time into, so i will spend that time elsewhere. absolute must, get rid of this as soon as you can 3) whats the idea with the shift+r change? its extremely frustrating. who thought of this? was it one of your 5000+ hours players? because holy shit this is a bad idea, i came back to the game after like a year or so and its somehow worse tldr: each of these is a 5 min fix, do it |

Delve: I agree on your points 2) and 3) above.
Also, GGG, please fix the crash / bug that boots you when you delete a decoration from a hideout. FFS, enough of that already. Much Appreciated in Advance, Keld |

I'd be happy with just disabling global light in hideout, or change direction. In a lot of hideouts bases I tend to block light with the Large Dry trees, but often times it is clunky.
Using various lamps as the only source of light in a hideout would be more atmospheric. I represent only myself, my own thought and believes. I am individual, not a representative of the community.
I am not speaking on behalf of someone else and I don't get offended by things that have nothing to do with me. 3.13 was the golden age. | |
I'm someone who was away from the game for years, and logged in again because of the interview Chris Wilson did with Josh Strife Hayes. My most recent game before this was ESO. The hideout system in POE has been a shock, and not in a good way. It's often said in ESO that fashion and housing are the real endgame.
My guess would be that nobody on the GGG leadership team loooooves base building. That might be a point to address. Trickling down to my "new" player experience, some days I want to kill monsters; other days I want to zone out. And the base building experience in PoE is not too friendly right now. I endorse all the suggestions in the OP. I hope they get implemented. |

For the art dept: I would love to see some sparks, say like from grinding or welding of metal. Also, more machinery for steampunk themes.
Thanks! |

i have to mention a low priority issue here, and its water decor. this includes decors that are partially watery like pools for example. anyway, 2 specific hideouts have water problems:
1) overgrown: first of all, water looks black af here, like an oil spill. and i mean fine, thats not the biggest problem. the biggest problem is when you put it on the lowest level of the hideout (especially off the wall or to the right), and you get waves that make zero sense in that occasion (you have to actually try it out to see how weird it is). basically dont even bother with water in it 2) alpine: sometimes the water looks dirty there. ive had it look clear 2 years ago, then dirty 1 year ago, now its clear again. might be a graphics issue on my side though, no idea |

Noticed that the save_hideout command no longer works when trying to "yoink" another person's hideout. A message pops up saying that you don't have the authorization to do that.
I really hope that's an intentional change and I want to say a big THANK YOU for that. It's a relief. I didn't see anything on the patch notes and I hope it stays this way. Thank you GGG. 🔥 My hideouts thread: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3225205
