Even on templar you take those only for a quicker spread but can play very fine without.

Yeh rain or splinters is nice for a while. But at a certain point your dps becomes so high and your explosions so big that you don't need it. It's then better to swap in a better end game jewel.
Good build all around so far. Only time I had a question was deciding what to 5L with the Ignite Prolif version, ended up going Deadly Ailments because my socket was green. I'd say in general this is where the guide is weak as it's very well explained through till maps, then it's like here's the end game gear. There's obviously steps in between like which gem setups/auras/etc to run between things like getting a Flammability ring or enlightens etc. This is just feedback, the guide is good otherwise.

I bought a cheap (6c) +1/+2 bow with open Suffix to craft +Attack Speed then started gambling Furnaces. Ended up with the below, which with +1/+2 and effectively +20% attack speed it feels really good.



Unfortunately the Shatter seems to only work on direct Explosive Arrow kills and doesn't work on ignites it does, lotta corpses up and on death effects, but you do hear shatters quite often on weaker trash. Not sure if there's a better alternative Crucible tree to aim for.

I have a conundrum and I'm hoping to get some advice. I have a i78 Thicket Bow that has a crucible tree with the following:

5-10 Cold Damage (crucible)
30% increased Attack Speed (crucible) (Gives it 1.95 Attack Speed with no mods)
15% less Global Damage (crucible)
+32 Fire Damage over Time Multiplier
-30 Fire Resistance
Inflict Fire Exposure on Hit, 25% chance to be inflicted with Fire Exposure when hit.


Hypothetically, the last modifier would mean we didn't need EE anymore, right, and also would mean Fire damage on hits wouldn't brick the build anymore?

I don't know if it's worth it to try and do all the work necessary to this bow (six socket, link, etc) just because of the tree or just do the Porcupine route and maybe melt this one down onto a different bow later.

Had a really smooth start with this build, one of the smoothest i've ever had. Reached maps fairly quick, never had a rough spot and having a blast so far. Managed to craft this bow fairly early and the league mechanic made it broken af. VERY nice build.

Hi! Just a quick question regarding Reservation Mastery on the tree left side.
Why are we taking "+1 max res when life AND mana reserved"? I don't see anything being reserved on life, so am I missing something, or does that simply not work?

Other than that, nice build - slowly plowing through maps, lack of life regen/leech early is quite "meh" but I'm aware it gets better later on :)
might be a stupid question but what kills do you use to level before you get balista totem?

You swap out ignite proliferation for killing bosses. Helps to have a white socket on your bow so you can switch between the blue ignite proliferation, and the red damage gem.

In the endgame you can permanently drop ignite proliferation (IMO) as the totems AOE nukes map packs without the need to spread ignites.

I was going to ask this too but I noticed when you change the tree to the "End-Game" version, it switches to "Auras from your Skills have 10% increased Effect on you" so I think it was a mistake on all the other skill trees. Before enlighten you aren't going to have all the auras up so probably just check PoB to see which gives you a bigger bonus between 8% increased damage per aura and auras have 10% increased effect.

My question is about auras. I'm at level 70, about to finish Act 10 and start early mapping. The PoB says to start with Purity of Elements and Precision and to go into Determination + Grace + Defiance banner later. Doesn't talk about Malevolence at all even though that's in the endgame PoB. I'm kind of wondering what I should be prioritizing right now. I'll need Purity of Elements just to res cap until I can get better gear. Without Enlighten and cluster jewel I think I can only fit 1 more aura right now. That leaves a choice between Malevolence, Determination, Grace and Precision (or am I supposed to leave this at level 1?). Also not sure when to drop Purity of Elements as it isn't in the final PoB. Obviously res cap through gear but are we getting immunity to elemental ailments from something else?

Edit: I just ended up dropping malevolence and going only Grace + Determination + Defiance Banner + low level precision (once I got lifetap for totems). Figured I needed the defense because I was feeling squishy. Got my res capped through rares, so didn't need Purity and I have freeze and bleed immunity on flasks. Still don't know about shock defense.
