The reason I chose the Chief instead of Inquisitor is that I like the Chief ;). That's it. Preference. The mechanics are more interesting but also more steadfast. The Chief's theme has almost never changed. And though the Inquisitor's theme hasn't really changed either, that ascendancy has gone through a makeover so many times. I expect the Over Powered nature of the Pious Path branch to get cut down soon. It's too strong (in my opinion). Regarding the Chief, I like the life regen, leech, Endurance Charges, natural fire res., fire damage, and interactive mechanics that come with change. But it's just preference. Hi Wrecker_of_Days, glad to see your build ready again for this new league ! Slotting in Determination really does the trick; it feels so much safer now. For those who'd wish for even more tankiness, I suggest dropping one damage wheel to allocate Sovereignity and slot in Tempest Shield, for both spell block and immunity to shock. You can push this further up with picking some block from the Sanctuary wheel, and even Glancing Blows if you decide to use a shield with life recovery on block (but that's another budget!). I havent played in a few leagues. Im thinking about playing this league but crappy league starter always kills my desire to stick with it. Is this a pretty decent league starter? Can i make it to maps in less than 8 hours with this? Does it clear at least up to low red maps easily ? I play trade league so it will be easier to gear. The freedom is (or at least feels) much higher with this build and i love the lack of never ending hours in front of trade windows to fiddle with resistances or stats. Sure, maybe the Inquisitor version could get higher damage numbers, but in exchange the res/stat restrictions would be higher again + RF would be usable much later. Sometimes you just have to play what you enjoy most, not what is most efficient or meta :) Really appreciate the work you put into this, thanks a lot! Oh, that's great, seggo! My builds and guide style aren't for everyone, but there are a lot of us out there that find fun in the freedom of the game. It could do whatever you wanted in the Atlas. It's not a fast league starter though. So if you've never started a league with RF before, you won't get to end-game right away. The first three acts are slow unless you get a couple of gems as a Witch first (in the levelling section of the guide). If you've league-started with RF before, you'll be able to get to end-game pretty quickly (via trade and familiarity). Ahhhhh my bad my bad i didnt see it was an RF build. Ya im familer and probably would just go like molten balls or something for the early acts or even flame wall righteous fire totem like i used to for league start plus just joining random groups to plow the content. So RF is viable again i thought it had taken some pretty hefty nerfs a couple leagues back and was pretty DoA after they really shit on everything in what was it 3.14 or something.
