[3.18] Gryph's Tank Simulator - A Detonate Dead Ignite Elementalist

Tryed to assemble this build on std: https://pastebin.com/LQcrdrx3

But have very low dps (2 min for no mods regular t16 boss ). Using kitava heralds. I understand there is an critical mistake I cant find. Can anyone experienced in this build help to find it?

Sounds like your using desecrate instead of phantasmal unearth.

your desecrate is level 1. This limits your corpse level to a max of level 20. Fixing that will exponentially increase your damage.

Also, use the correct spectres with the bugged life. Auric Collosus/Champion, I forget which one off hand. Statues from act 3.
Is the Witch version just better than the Necro version for SC? I've heard Necro is more well-rounded as far as tankyness and damage, and Witch is better damage but much worse survivability. Considering the name "Tank Simulator", can i assume that the lack of survivability compared to the Necro isnt quite that bad?
PoE-Ninja also has about 10x as many Necro as it does Witches, so its been a hard decision for me.

I assume "witch" means "elementalist". In which case - tankier due to no glancing blows, but lower DPS (perhaps 50% less):

i think im going to respec to this, two questions what is your playstyle/rotation? for clearing and bossing? Second, you said necro is more tanky, what ascendancy points would you take and would you change anything else? I love the idea of tanking everything in the game.

Well, it's tankier in that you have true block instead of Glancing Blows Block. I'm starting to back pedal on my opinion of going Necro Instead but it's still viable.

basically you'd take offering effect mastery, more damage nodes instead of GB+Block nodes, and make sure you have 100% chance to ignite.

But the reality is that you lose almost 50% of your damage by switching and I don't think the defensive gains are enough to merit that. DPS=Defense in a lot of cases.

I have also set up the build to take advantage of taking damage from blocked hit with the life recoup mechanic as well. It's a Pillow Fort Defense! :D

If you were to go necro though, you'd take:
Plaguebringer - Corpse Pact - Commander of Darkness - Mistress of Sacrifice.

But perhaps there's something that can be done with forbidden flesh/flame to get the best of both worlds.

Survivability is good with elementalist though. When you get far into min/maxing, you can afk simu 30.

Ah, bad news: Wellspring of Creation (monsters deal 25% less, have 50% more life) doesn't affect corpse life.

Correct. It should, however, work for the monster corpses of the ones that you kill (rather than the ones you generate).

It won't. It specifically states on the keystone "This modifier does not affect things that check the life of corpses".
Still drops incoming damage by 25% though, so a build with a killer tank is now even tougher.

Feel free to message me in game if I'm on.
Question: If we take Spiritual Aid Notable on Passive Tree, does % increased minion damage also increase the damage of Detonate Dead, like % increased fire damage would?
