I finished all 10 Acts pretty easily with your Bone Zombies. I started maps but seem to be dying a lot in just Tier 2 maps.
Any suggestions?

Thanks for the build. It is a lot of fun leveling up.
Hey, DumboWizarean!

I'm glad levelling went smoothly for you. If you go on to the PoE website, change your privacy settings to make your character tab public. Then I'll be able to take a look at your character(s). Only if you want of course.

In general though, if you haven't been skipping all the life nodes on the tree, you likely just need better defensive rolls on your gear...which just needs more grinding.

But if you make your character tab public, let me know when it's done and I'll take a look. I'll check back here tomorrow so you don't have wait too long.

Please, excuse the basic question, but I couldn't find a hint on the Internet. If the Level of 'raise Zombie' or 'raise Spectre'
has increased, do I have to summon the minion again, and how does that work without removing the gem?

I'm a semi-beginner too. I think the existing zombies will be leveled up. My Necro is level 55, and I haven't had to cast one in about 35 levels. They just don't die. But they would have been long ago if they still had the low level from the time of creation.
I would also like to thank you for this simple guide. With all the others you always have (at least felt) the impression as if you need various really expensive items.
Normally I only play a character until shortly after the main story. My highest character ever a lvl 86 cyclone-duelist got to maps tier 7 or 8. So I don't plan to get to maps tier 16 with this guide :).
I play mostly selffound. Here and there I trade only a few cheap items (like for this build a midnight bargain (the 30% life reservation isn't that noticeable with the low damage taken at lvl 55) and a rare helm with +2 socketed minion gems - both together for less than 2 chaos).
I never ever finished the forth labyrinths. So I plan my necro for now without misstress of sacrifice. Bone barrier and unnatural strength sound more tempting.
I usally don't cast void sphere, but I guess that will be needed later.

Hi there,
the description of Enduring Bond says that it grants increased damage for minions if a minion skill has been used recently. I understand recently (4 secs) but what is considered a minion skill? I do not use any skills apart from Void Sphere. And the offering from CWDT.
Thank you!
I miss the AW character, huoc. That was fun. I'm still craving to have a buffed-up Temporal Chains in a guide. So we'll see what happens.

With this build, we don't have much investment into mana recovery. So if you find you don't like the benefits of Void Sphere, make sure you pick something that still has a cooldown. A spell without a cooldown that's linked to a low-level CwDT will constantly eat up all your mana. Mana which Bone Offering requires. So something like Frost Bomb might be a good option for you...if you're sticking with CwDT. Another option is putting Second Wind Support on Void Sphere. That lets you get 2 casts of Void Sphere within its normal cooldown. Maybe that'll be enough.

The minion skill we use is Bone Armour (the skill we get from the ascending).

Good thinking! Nice work.

After some more experimentation I ended up with Spell Totem + Vulnerability. This frees one slot (Hextouch Support), but I lost the hindering ability of Void Sphere and the Culling Strike. I used the other two slots for Vaal Skeletons + Feeding Frenzy. This works great, as skeletons charge (or dash). I almost use it like an attack spell, whenever I see monsters I target it behind the front line of the mobs, it works as a decoy too, until I reposition with my "bodyguards".
Without the need of FF I filled my helmet with Raise Spectre + Summon Carrion Golem + Maim Support + Summon Phantasm Support.
I am only running t4 maps, so it is very early to say if this works in hard content, but right now works perfectly.
I am on PC, so Bone Armour is automatic for me, so I must use two buttons, one for the skeletons and one for the totem. (And an occasional third for the vaal skeletons when meeting a boss.)
Hi Wrecker,
I have two noob questions.
1. Do you think it might be possible to raise the attack and spell block chance to near 75% without Glancing Blows? I have found some block chance passives that are right next to the passives used by this build. Mostly for spell block, a couple for attack block.
2. slightly off-topic, filter related questions
2/a. why does your filter show all rare quivers while filtering other weapon types more?
2/b. the filter does not show all quality flasks, only above a certain quality. I rarely find Glassblower's baubles, but I assume there is a specific reason for this.
Thanks, as always!

I'm glad you're ahaving a good time with the build, danielll9105!

Thanks for letting me know :). As both you and DES_Corleone mentioned, the reason I don't have jewels/cluster jewels in the build isn't that they aren't good enough. They're amazing! It's just that they aren't an easy guarantee for people. So feel free to make your own "swaps" if you find any types of jewels you like.

Good question, grhmath!

You're referring to the normal gem levelling process, right? If so, your zombies do not need to be resummoned when the gems level up. The zombies that have already been summoned automatically get the stats of their gem's new level, along with its supports. I play on both console and PC with this build and can confirm that the zombies and spectres stay active and improve with every gem level up.

Does that answer your question? Did I understand it correctly?
