Thank you for a very helpful guide. As a brand new the PoE player it has really helped me couple of hurdles I encountered in trying a home grown build of my own :).

I do have a question though! The gems on your "Cast when damage is taken" gloves are all very low. Is this intentional, perhaps to keep the trigger low, or will you allow them to grow in levels? Also, if you want to keep them low level, is there a way I can stop the game constantly reminding me they can be leveled up?

PS. You have a fan in me! I've always loved the fantasy of the necromancer, and in particular the minion master archetype. I'm really enjoying all your guides!
Thanks, MindBlayde! That's very kind of you. I'm glad the guide has been helpful in getting you over some hurdles! Thanks for the encouraging words :).

The CwDT levels are intentional. We don't want them casting too often as we don't have the mana regen for constant casting, but we do want them going off often enough that the spells are active most of the time. So the gems have to be within the CwDT trigger range for CwDT to cast them. The current threshold is 1000 accumulative damage.

If you're on PC, as kraken9911 mentioned, you right-click on the + sign, instead of left-clicking, to stop levelling the gem(s). If you're on console, you go into your inventory screen, highlight a socketed gem, and hit "y" (or whatever the button is in Sony Land) to stop the gem from exceeding the current level.

Thanks for such kind words :). I really appreciate them! I'm glad you're enjoying them so much. It's fun when you can find something that really suits you and keeps you going. I'm going to start working on some other builds soon for people to play. They won't be guides, but I'll have the builds there for people to play if they get tired of the two guides I currently have. They'll be on my One-Stop-Shop page when they're done.

Hey Wrecker,

Just wanted to say that I've been playing this build since 3.14 and it has reignited my love for this game.

I love that the build is so simple yet effective, and requires no items in particular. as a disabled person, it's a build I can really appreciate

Cheers,
Freashon.
Freashon! That's so great to hear. I'm so glad you have a build that really suits you and that you enjoy. That can make a break a game, no matter how good the game is. It's cool hearing how long people have been playing the build and where they come from. Thanks for taking the time to be so kind. I really appreciate your note. Thanks!

So i tried the vaal skeletons with no supports yet - instead of the void sphere, lvl 12 gem vaal skeletons is scary... thank god i have a good pc.
if i understand correctly, you want me to put it in the 6 link with the zombies? am i on the same page here? cose that would be scary :)
Hey, eXtremeAkim! THanks for stopping by the broadcast the other night!

Ya! Vaal Skeletons is nuts hey? Putting it in the Zombie link helps you keep the build intact without changing anything but Zombie damage/leech amount (and adding an extra button). So if you're going to make any changes to the build, just keep in mind what you're losing based on what you're gaining and see how it treats you in some harsh T16s. If it doesn't work out, just revert back to the guide and see if it's any different.

Let us know how it goes :)

Thank you! I suspected you'd set the levels deliberately but it is wonderful of you to confirm.
I've been forced to adapt a substantial amount of it as being a newbie means I'm not privy to the ways to get gear, or of rerolling sockets on the gear I've been lucky enough to pick up to match yours. But I'm having such a blast following your ethos of "play with what you have". Perhaps I'm also destined to be Solo Self Found :)
Frankly that a 10 day old player like me is able to get going again by using your guide is a powerful testament to you. Please don't stop making guides!!! Think of all the newbies like me so will struggle for the want of your expertise.

First of all, thank you for the build. Currently I'm leveling with the fewest deaths ever :D

I have a question about alternative Quality Gems, would there be some that you recommend?

please advise :

what gem is left out for 5 link chest please ?
Raise Zombie
- Brutality Support
- Meat Shield Support
- Melee Physical Damage Support
- Stun Support
- Ruthless Support
Just want to add one thing. theres 2 points on the tree that should be removed in favor of 2 jewel sockets that are on the path.
If you swap out 2 %5 life nodes with jewels you can have 7% life and chaos resist on the jewels. two of those gives you 14% life and up to 30% more chaos resist for just a chaos orb or 2. and other stats depending on how much you put into it.

Well shucks, MindBlayde! I mean, Minion! ;)

That's a really kind message. Thank you. That's really nice to hear. I'm glad the setup of the build and guide match you so well. You're very kind. Thank you.

SSF, or at least the mentality of it, is a pretty slow-paced way to play. So don't be discouraged by the speed of others. I play in trade league, cause I like to sell, but I don't like to buy anything. It's fun for me to make a profit off of what I earn, but only use what I earn. (I feel like a hunter that only comes back to the trader's to sell my pelts. Then I'm off to the woods again.) But SSF inadvertently teaches TONS about items/mods in the game. So if the SSF style is up your alley, you'll learn the game really fast.

Thanks again for the kind note. It goes a long way.

Awesome, fishsin! Nice work on your lack of deaths! I'm glad the build suits you.

You know, it's funny, coincidentally I'm an Anomalous fan it seems. For the Raise Zombie, Raise Spectre, Meat Shield, and Vitality, I LOVE the Anomalous versions of each. I haven't looked into every gem but those are the ones that I remember liking a lot. (The Zombies' Slam is amazing.)

It honestly doesn't matter, PALLYDYN. All Zombie supports are really equal in their pros and cons. But I would say, don't leave out Meat Shield. The taunt is really valuable.
