[3.19] DO NOT USE - Fuzzy Duckzy's Lightning Strike Raider - Great League Starter

I feel like I've pretty much min-maxed my LS Raider this league, and would like to make a few comments where my observations differ from the build guide. I can appreciate that this guide was made many moons ago, but it seems to have been edited and is listed as 3.17.

1) You can start with Omniscience pretty early, especially if you are mindful of not over-leveling skill gems. The most core to your Lightning Strike skill are not usually the issue in this regard, luckily.

2) If using The Interrogation gem, it becomes fairly easy to cap crit, and the added benefit of the influenced chest Elder modifier that increases base crit becomes obsolete. This was the case for myself. This is important to note because having that mod (usually elevated) seems to be core to forgoing the benefits of free Aspect of the Cat from Farrul's Fur.

3) If budget allows, I found it much easier to drop influenced boots (ones that give tailwind, onslaught, and elusive) and get Darkray Vectors. This is only made possible with having the Gathering Winds notable from Forbidden Flesh/Flame, along with a consistent source of Onslaught (in my case, changed to Replica Farrul's).

4) Having a claw with Elemental Pen as one of the prefixes is great. However, this has significant diminishing returns as your Omniscience increases, as they do the same. Use POB to establish what that break-point is for you. I found that for me, it was quite early on if evaluating triple T1 prefixes, with only T3 of one of the mods lagging behind a bit. This was also when I had half the omniscience.

I went with Secrets of Suffering as well, and was wondering if Herald of Ice still should be part of the aura setup with it. The flat damage is nice, sure - but the main effect of basically freeze-ploding the whole map does not work since you ain't freezing anymore.

Would love to see a PoB of your char - and what cluster jewels you went with.
Other than that, LS with a medium budget clears everything easily - I really loved playing with it, as a casual with a limited time (and currency) budget, this was the perfect build.

Notable buys on my char (The rest is self-found):

- Blizzard Crown (4 ex)
- Farruls (2 ex)
- Shield (40c, a steal)
- Claw (12 ex)
- Belt (1 ex)
- Bottled Faith (7 ex)
- Cat's Aspect Ring (4ex)
- Clusters (1-2 ex)

I'd recommend going for the forbidden flesh/flame with the gathering winds passive. This definitely increases your clear speed and dps. Also strike skills target nearby enemies would be preferable over pierce another target because you already have the pierce from the helmet enchant; the gloves provide greater clear speed and even higher single target damage
can someone check out my level 79 LS Raider gear/build and tell me what im doing wrong?

I die too easy in higher tier maps and cant kill bosses well that have ele resist.

I feel like my Omniscience is a bit low but thought my gear should make up for it?

Please help!

btw my omniscience is 1044 and ele penatrations are around 120ish

Your characters are marked as private, so we can't see them. We'll need either that fixed, or a Path of Building link.
Current league IGN: Teldra_Anc_LAD
Feel free to message me in game if I'm on.

I would grind some more levels you want to push to late 80s. You can easily do this in yellow maps.

Get Uber Lab done as since you are using darkrays you are missing out on huge damage. Then follow this tree. https://pastebin.com/71FXCE5P

It will more than double your DPS. The dagger nodes with extra elusive are really important make sure to take them

I would also move whirling blades into boots as looks like you have a spare socket there and put an unlinked reduced duration gem in your gloves it will reduce the time that Aspect takes to cycle through the charges so will make sure you always have power charges up and can drop the duration node

Drop Herald of Ice and level precision to 20 and take the accuracy nodes as per the pob and take the mastery that gives 100% reduced precision reservation. A level 20 precision gives a ton of damage

Gear wise I would buy a synthesised belt with %attributes as the implicit and roll this with essences that give attributes it will boost your omni up a ton

Lastly I do not think that thread of hope is worth it. Get some more levels and path to those life nodes and then put a watchers eye in. Extra damage when affected by precision is pretty good or just a solid rare jewel.

EDIT: Also drop multistrike it really is not good for this build since a lot of damage comes from projectiles. Replace this with awakened added lightning damage
