Communication and the Sacred Orb

So you created another currency item that 99.99% of players aka common shmucks (that's me!) will instantly put on trade as it will not be of any use whatsoever. Rarer than Ex LOL. GGG, what kind of game are you playing? Cause sure as hell it is different to mine.

The armour isn't getting worse. Sure, a perceived nerf relative to a new potential ceiling. But the gear was fine up until now with no extra %defenses and will still be fine this patch.

Overall yes it's an overreaction.

But it's not an overreaction to the introduction of yet more RNG. Are the developers gamblers in real life and think everyone just loves gambling in games?

Because I do not. The game needs less RNG not more.
So that Sacred Orb doesn't guarantee the perfect roll, does it? You mean I need like 10-20+ of them to even get a near perfect roll? I'm happy that is what i've been dreamin of

I barely find Conq Ex Orbs... now we have another tier higher?
Love seeing more content I probably will never see.

Problem: Monsters still do too much damage and people are pretty angry about it.

Solution: We added more RNG into gear because the best way to address monster strength is more RNG and Orbs. We also introduced an Orb to help mitigate item stat RNG, but make it incredibly hard to get for the average player. Suck it casuals.
Folks in this thread overreacting more than my gf
Seems pretty silly to me, the item and the rarity. Not sure why time was even spent on something like this with the scope being so big.

I wonder whether the rest of your so-called improvement to defense will be something like:

10% chance for 3% life regeneration (previously 1% life regeneration).

5% chance to gain an endurance charge when hit.

1% chance to gain spell suppression when you take a savage hit.

Clearly this orb is only aimed at 2 kinds of players and may very well be in the game only as a reaction to the wave of anger over the new level of RNG on bases, namely the top 0.01% who insist on perfect gear every league, and standard league players who are pissed their carefully crafted characters there will now be less than perfect.

To everyone else, this new super rare orb which you will probably never see in game, only exists to see to those 2 groups.
