Path of Exile 3.16 Balance - Part 1 - Flasks and Ailment Mitigation

Dontcha just love game communities?

All you ever do is NERF NERF NERF it's ridiculous

Today.

I'm not playing anymore, you're making the game too easy and casual.

Amazing.

I hope this doesn't mean that I can't have my Staunching Life flask anymore. I use this every league, every character.

Oh, yes, that would not be pleasant.

Please don’t make tempest shield reserve mana! Not %!
Mana management is hard enough after the changes in the last 3 leagues....
Tempest shield is one of the good cwdt spells.

Just invent another skill for shock immunity...

That’s a good idea.

Purity of Elements was a good band aid for elemental resistances early on, either during story or early mapping before players could find/afford gear with decent resists. By adding elemental ailment immunity, it further solidifies it as an incredibly strong defensive option before players are able to really invest into elemental ailment mitigation.

High end aurabots have been the main ones to really use purity of elements in the end game, but that's more because elemental resistances are easily capped. Aurabots that get it don't even care about the elemental resistances, they pick it up as another aura for guardian's 1% phys reduction per aura and/or necromancer's 2~3% attack/cast speed per aura. For top players, Purity of Elements was just meant as another aura, like taking level 1 precision, clarity, or vitality. In fact, the 50% mana reservation likely hurts high end aura bots more than a typical player that might pick it up to cover resists early on.

however, that all changed with alternate gems. with divergent purities and divergent purity of elements, aurabots can now provide 24% elemental penetration to all party members with the right setup. not that many do.

and it is not 1% phys reduction and 2-3% speed per aura. it is that multiplied by aura effectiveness. that's how us aurabots provide so much benefit.

personally, i am dreading the Part 3 notes and the nerf hammer to aurabots. I fear it will be detrimental to the game...

Please don't destroy aurabots. If so, I'll likely not be coming back and party play will be stale. There is no point in joining a public party if there are only noobs that do no damage and increase monster life. Aurabots make party play viable. Without them I have no drive to play public or group play and I hate playing solo.

exactly!! Aurabots provide a much more enjoyable playing experience for everyone, without damaging the economy. We also allow top-end players to farm content on steroids. How is this a problem? Yet again, GGG is making changes which indicate they don't play or understand their own game, which the 2 interviews with Chris made abundantly and painfully clear.

No need to substitute concepts. "Destroy" and "Nerf for balance" are different
Aura-bot need to nerf as well as aura-stacking.

someone says :Please for the love of god, allow SSF players to search their own premium stash tabs using the trade site. Playing SSF inside of a tradeleague is currently a strictly better experience than using the actual SSF league variant.
Im 100% share this please makes this happen GGG
I see a trap in these "fancy" changes as there is nothing mentioned about charges for utility flasks.
Having charges for life and mana flask, even passive charge generation won't solve the problem of non-pathfinders to maintain utility flask uptime. And none of these changes actually managed to address the power of having flasks vs not having flasks.

Maybe there will be something interesting in the Defense manifesto, but this is just a lackluster
- checking boxes will be easier without gear ....
ok great. Is that it?

Necessity to be stun immune, ailment immune and bleed/corrupted blood immune is not addressed. Seems like the opposite - the fancy changes will motivate GGG to buff monster dmg in these departments so you won't be able to go by without having these boxes checked (not that you could do that for 95+ leveling anyway).

This manifesto is a trap
