For melee SRS, is mark of the red covenant with 250% roll worth it due to getting to use 2 more damage supports instead of unleash and melee splash?

Maybe chaos conversion Carrion Golems. Level 25 CG has 1453 DPS. Added chaos damage 29 makes it 3341 DPS. It's like 130% more modifier :)

The main problem is SRS duration and max number is 5. I have an idea I want to try but need to get the item first :)

I think so. Poison scales well with Despair and Temp chains. The occultist gives you +1 curse, curse hexproof, curse enemies take increased damage, nearby enemies -20% chaos res and profane pops.

You can also get Unnatural Strength from forbidden jewels.

3.19 here we go :-D

GGG stated that while the entry build is lower in DPS the ceiling you can reach is higher now. And we all know with enough investment, you could make most minion builds work before.

On top of that, the League mechanic itself (Synthesis 2.0) is very interesting.

Conclusion: If you like minions, you will have a blast in 3.19.

I think I finished making it. Now planning out the starter.

Here are the numbers for the full builds. Left side is the 3.17 SRS Necro build. I added in the new numbers for frenzy charges so all 3 builds are the same.
