What amulet can I replace for Ashes of the Stars? Because it's too expensive

assuming you are using carrion golems then +1 to phys gems would be good.
Can also have +1 to dex/int/str gems as well.

I'm trying to work out the differences between Skelly Mages in 3.17 and 3.18 here. I very much enjoyed this build in 3.17.

It looks like we're dropping crit focus (no Critical Damage support, no Assassins Mark) in favor of general projectile damage (sub in Sniper's Mark, Predator). I can understand that.

The other changes seem to be a more defensive focus - using Meat Shield on zombies (and using zombies in the first place) and no stance on AG and Spectres.

I'm using the +2 Tabula at the moment on the Minion Army tree while I save up for better gear/clusters. Looking at the POBs, there's a definite drop in sheet DPS for skeletons under the 3.18 setup - does this build still hold its own into red maps, or does it drop off sooner?

Is the spider build tankier than skelly mage? i might switch

I'm bumping up against red maps and I've got the low-budget build and tree for golems equipped. I'm finding my minions are beginning to die in harder maps. As I try to find things to start upgrading without a single ex to my name but a hundred c, what's the best bang-for-buck on getting minion health up? The vyse with leech jewels or something else?

Yeah the budget AG dies easily. It didn't even survive one full map run in T14

Btw, could someone specify upgrade progression into endgame build?

I've got fleshcraft and wand. What should I get next? Cluster? Aurora?
