I noticed I couldn't hit 40% Cruelty effect (when bossing) so I decided to switch to Swift Affliction.

For example, I noticed the Cruelty effect on Sirus is only ~25% so that is much worse than a constant 40% more damage from Swift Affliction/Deadly Ailments. Regular mapping I think Cruelty still works well.

Edit: How do you find only 40% spell block?

I do not think it is 40%. should be 14% spell block, even lower.

I could not buy enlighten support until 2 days ago. Not able to level fast either. So not enough mana to activate tempest shield
- no amulet annointment yet. want to find a good amulet first i thought.
- no slots for reckless replica defence
- no rumis concoction because i need mana flask.

3.16 PoB seems to be double counting tempest shield spell block? There's a custom 25% base plus PoB calculates tempest shield as +27%.

Yes, the PoB is created before the Tempest Shield is updated, you should remove the custom mods.

1. I personally think Tempest shield is more important if you are not running Versatile Combatant. You really feels weak against spells in maps.
2. Safeguard is a relatively cheap anoint (Verdant, Azure, Black).
3. Remi's is more important than any other Utility Flask.

I didn't switch back after using Swift Affliction because you really don't notice a difference during mapping so I am using 4R2G on my chest.

I was wondering if I could get some advice on my next upgrade.
I am currently looking to spec out of the command of steel and unwavering stance, but I am not sure if I should move into the clusters or if I should buy Nightmare and get the elemental nodes or if I should do both and spec out of the extra health that I have.
Any advice would be appreciated. Really liking the build so far, making it into tier 14s and 15s without too much issue.

1. For cluster jewels, I am not using all 3 notables either, even though I have one. I only allocated Fuel the Fight and Wound Aggravation. I am struggling with passive points this league to balance defense and offense. Jewel sockets are also very competitive, I am not running any rare jewel. All sockets on clusters were used by Replica Reckless Defense.

2. I think the best investment right now is your weapon. There are some good options at 2-5ex range (without DoT multi but with better attack speed). You can also have an Elder base and craft it at your leisure. This will free up 10% of your life (if you so choose).

3. I find 65%/36% block a bit too low and you are not benefiting from Reigning Veteran. I find myself dying a lot to Conqueror minions at <50% spell block. You may want to get spell block on your chest.

4. Change Chance to Bleed to Divergent quality and your gems lacked quality on some.

5. I think you can get a bleeding boots with similar mods (not elevated of course) for less than 1ex and fix the missing resist/attribute through your right ring.

I've checked the numbers on PoB and Outmatch and Outlast has higher numbers at max frenzy charges but I'm wondering how that will work out when bossing. Is there a way to generate frenzy charges when bossing that I've overlooked?

Great question. I think it comes down to preference.

Last league I took neither because of Versatile Combatant was critical to this build's success, however its replacement Reigning Veteran was not as beneficial since I barely have 70% attack block.

So I need to choose between Arena Challenger and Outmatch & Outlast. My choice to pick Outmatch & Outlast is mainly due to the following reasons:

1. League mechanics is dangerous, I prefer to have more defense during mapping in which I can keep max Endurance/Frenzy charge. I can technically run Frenzy skill for bosses but I don't find damage lacking during bossing.

2. I might have picked Arena Challenger had I being using Jack, the Axe because it really needed attack speed.

Edit: Also PoB probably show a combined DPS increase from both Outmatch & Outlast (10% more) and Frenzy Charges (12% more at 3). So the DPS increase is probably exaggerated.
