(3.16) NERFED DO NOT PLAY THIS Raider Archmage BF/BB [CHEAP, Tanky, HCSSF viable, (100m+ dps)
I can finally sustain Rightous Fire now. As an idiot who pretends to think that every breakable jar and crate in the game holds a mirror, RF is great for just zooming by and popping every breakable container.
No mirror yet :) I am at 9.7k mana, 4.1k life. I feel very comfortable in all T13 content. T15/16 hard content like Ultimatums can still feel scary though. I have ten zillion upgrades to make though so I just need to keep grinding. Last edited by AndyLovesHisBge#5265 on May 9, 2021, 12:09:24 PM

By pure luck, I have a very easy way of having my resists balance exactly right now. If I do this, should I swap in a Wise Oak flask?

I played this build in hc till i died to stygians.
I love the build but isnt the dps misleading? You never want to have 3 stacks of intensify as you want blade blast to have large aoe to have more overlaps. You can even see in cestarix playstyle he always keeps resetting his intensify stacks in the yt vids. Last edited by katsupoy#3722 on May 9, 2021, 2:53:27 PM

" Cestarix used awakened area of effect on blade blast rather than intensify. Intensify on blade blast is kinda meant as a boss killer where you stay stationary and spam blade blast on boss until it dies, but honestly its kinda bad for ultimatum like circles and even on bosses you want to keep moving, I dont like stuff that incentivizes being stationary. Makes you play more badly! I use awakened increased AOE. |

So I got lucky and dropped these gloves which gives faster casting support. Since I use my gloves on Bladefall, it made me think what best 5th gem would be. I tried spell echo, it gave more blade blast per bladefall(45-60 instead of 30-40) but they detonate at same speed so not really more dps. Then I saw culling strike support... your bladefall hits all the bosses you hit, so it pretty much gives you culling strike :3 |

True, and most of the boss fight you need to move so having 3 stacks of intensify is really not that realistic.
In his UHC kill vids of uber elder and A9, he was just using inc AoE. Last edited by katsupoy#3722 on May 9, 2021, 4:29:27 PM

Hi there,
I can run T15-T16 maps now, but a few boss are still too hard (park map boss + maven ...). What do you think should be my next upgrade ? I'm on SSF. 4,1k life, 7,8k mana. Last edited by TKz#3711 on May 9, 2021, 4:59:41 PM

" The recommended 5th link is Concentrated Effect. See section 3.1 of the build guide. Last edited by AndyLovesHisBge#5265 on May 9, 2021, 7:31:08 PM

" Dunno about concentrated effect. Dont really like less AOE on bladefall, it does concentrate dps for bosses, but it makes it harder to map and make ultimatums. Ideally youd switch gems between bosses and maps, but I do enough dps to not care about concentrating bladeblasts that much. So culling strike is way better for me, after killing the hydra guardian with culling strike I wouldnt change to a gem that only gives less aoe |
|
" I find that Concentrated Effect is paramount at the highest tier Ultimatums. The creatures turbo attack in huge waves close to you. And they are beefy. A less concentrated blade fall means a much weaker blade blast close to you, which is what one needs to survive when you get swarmed by 10 million monsters in the T16 Ultimatums. But as you mentioned, you need to use what is best for you. I can definitely see the uses for Culling Strike in situations. |
