Hey there, so first I noticed you don't have your labs done, and speced out of forbidden power that'll help alot. Eventually you're gonna have to get rid of the extra curse on your gloves or it won't proc your assassins mark if i remember correctly. You have a open jewel socket that you need to put your medium into. You also need to get the energy shield leech node on the far right, that makes a huge difference as well. I think those changes would help a bit to start. You can wait for OP to comment better.


Thank you for the advice. Just changing the gloves to single curse alone has made a very big difference. Had no idea Assassin's wasn't procing!!
I'm working on levelling a bit more for the cluster points. You mentioned specing into the energy leech node but I can't see that on the POB. Should I spec into this instead of something else for now? Thanks again.

From what I can see, Swapping shield gems to their alternate qualities can help a bit, alternative golem quality

Precision only adds about 3% crit chance, Swap out the chalice flask for a sulphur one with cast speed or something

3 passive ending compsure can be brought to 2, saving a point

For defenses, Im not too sure, I just dont run any real rippy mods if I want exp, currently on 6,204 ES myself, For a long time I flame dashed in and then casted brands, when it should be the opposite, take your time, cast a brand so you leech and then jump in

It does include several "Expensive" upgrades, like bottled faith, shield corruption, I got quite the payday after Empyrean bought my Doctor card I got dropped in Syndicate

Just posting to say thanks for the build, really enjoyed playing it in Scourge, got really expensive after 1.5mil dps but ill definitely play this as a leaguestart in 3.17 again :)

Wonder how this fares in the Endless *anything* events.
Looking forward to trying this out, on my 3rd reroll this league, just haven't found anything fun so far.

I'm wondering what the recommended think leveling items are? I have some C and a couple Ex to play around with.

What this build or any spell build needs is cast speed early so:

When i was lvling i used Goldrim, Tabula and 2x axioms (Axiom Perpetuum). The rest was sockets and resists. you honestly dont need more

I would recommend picking up a Astramentis for the stat boost since this build it very starved for strength and dex requirements, str for high lvl of immortal call (pre-god mode, just a lvl 10 immortal call requirest 117 str) and dex for Herald of Ice since it requires 98 dex at lvl 20 (and since spell gem lvls is the biggest source of dmg, you dont really want to wait to level up the gem)
Spell looks fun, but feels really weird, like if i did something really wrong rerolling from Poison Concoction Occulltist. I didn't spend that much on new clothes and gems, ~3-4e, but in my hands build does less damage AND have worse survivability than my pre-refund 50c character with PC. Not even sure i still have a spirit to farm some more currency to fix my mistakes.

Plenty to do for you still - first off get a 6L Shavs - you can get a corrupted one with something useless like +2 warcrys for 50 or 70C with the right colours or spend a few tainted chrome to get them anyway. The loss of dps from the loss of spell damage implicit is massively outweighed by the extra link.

After that you want curse on hit on gloves for a big boost. Helm enchant and quality on rings (also amulet for a little more ES).

The wand is OK but a change from +1 lightning gems to +1 all spell gems will help with your auras and boost DPS and survivability.

Check your flasks as well - why you have a Life and Mana flask? you shouldnt need either. There are many more dps or survivability options.

After that things get more expensive - +2 or even +4 Shavs, wand with +1 lightning and +1 spell gems, a nice double or triple watchers etc etc.

Just remember to always keep casting brand - cast, move, cast, move, cast, move, etc - if your leeching you will only get killed by a oneshot (which will happen at times for sure but wont be often unless your doing stupid hard content like T16 Scourge maps with crazy mods or if you just plain dont spot telegraphed moves....)

You are currently applying only one curse, I would move the discipline into the wand, remove the portal, and put back hextouch and elemental weakness in the gloves until you get gloves that curse with elemental weakness on hit. That should be a big dps increase for free.

I just wanted to thank you, this storm brand occultist is amazing. I honestly think this is my favorite build I have ever played ^^
Sure, it required some investment to feel that good, but I've never done end game bosses so easily.
Can't wait to try one of your other build !
