[3.21] Cold Conversion Summoner | Build guides for all budgets | (Ghazzy Zoomancer)
" Thx :) From gem lvl 25 to 40 (at least), its still 3 spectres max, so i dont think its possible to get a total of 6. But it gives me lvl 80 spectre as my gem is lvl 28 right now. To get 4 white from now, i need harvest as DontThinJustClick said it, or jsut recolor to 0 white and then another try with Vorici. |

" Yeah, those are some BiS godlike boots. If only they'd been Two-toned too :D Really like the double ailment immunity. Not sure whether 10% extra movement speed or chill immunity feels best though. During ritual I was playing with the idea to make a pair of giga endgame boots by Awakening Orbing and Maven Orbing a pair of elder and redeemer boots. From redeemer's I'd usethe +2 to cold skill gems mod. Elevated it gives +10% quality to socketed cold gems. This would be a pretty hefty dps boost as it would have added +2 skills and 10% quality to hatred, Skitterbots and Bonechill. Did come around to making them though and I would still have lost freeze immunity which is highly questionable. |

" I just bought some two-toned, time to try again :D Edit : or not, its not an elder base xD Last edited by VardekCrom63#1659 on Jul 4, 2021, 6:11:48 PM

Thanks for the guide, took me ages to sell off 4 complete builds but that had to happen.
To explain my possibly stupid questions i am 67 and possibly a bit slow lol. Now to questions, i assume just running around waiting for vaal blade vortex to soul up and then use it? Why 2 movement skills? Seems HH would be a poor choice for bosses? What would you recommend if it is indeed a bad belt for bosses? Is hydrosphere pretty much a bossing skill? And finally aside from trying to improve my jewels am i lacking anywhere this side of 100exalts? Thanks for any help |

" I very rarely use Vaal Blade Vortex. Usually normal BV is enough and you just run through everything autoapplying your debuffs everywhere. Vaal BV is specifically used for bosses or monster packs you find dangerous which you're afraid of getting into melee range with. Usually your dps is just so high that everything gets instantly deleted anyway so I barely think about Vaal BV. Instead I focus my souls on trying to keep near 100% uptime on Vaal Grace. This adds an insane amount of survivability through toe additional ~40% spell and attack dodge which basically dodge caps us. With mistress of Sacrifice specced I'm able to keep near ~95% uptime on Vaal Grace. If Vaal BV is on cooldown we can't gather souls for Vaal Grace so I'm extremely sparse on using Vaal BV. The reason we use two movement skills is because we need 4 green gems in our Triad. I haven't found a better gem to use than a second mobility ability. Some people would prefer to use lvl 1 precision for a marginal dps increase. But I find that running Phase run instead, provides an alot more fluid gameplay. Pressing flasks together with Phase Run gives you unreasonable runspeed which drastically increases your map clear speed. Dash is used to avoid boss and monster mechanics and to jump over cliffs or gaps. Phase Run as ~70% uptime, I also make sure to use both of my Dash Charges when the Phase run movement speed buff is off and it's still on cooldown. It kinda gives you a movement rotation that makes the build incredibly fast. You are correct to assume that HH is a bad belt for bosses. It doesn't provide anything apart from life and some dexterity. Fortunately, when you're at Headhunter levels of currency you should be doing well above 100 million dps with this build so bosses get deleted in 15 frames anyway. I guess you could go for a better belt tailored for killing bosses but I don't find it's needed. If you want to use something else, a stygian vise, Darkness Enthroned or a Torrent's Reclaimation are very good. |

Thanks for that, how do i use Blade Vortex? it is in the weapon that is triggered so the spell cannot be used. I also have my curse on the weapon, is that ok or not? Char is Oldmangolem.
Thanks again. Edit: put Blade Vortex in my tooltip and see that it procs to keep the skill up all the time. Knowing that i will just leave Vaal Blade Vortex in there knowing Blade Vortex is working as intended. Last edited by EDMOSES#3434 on Jul 5, 2021, 7:20:24 PM

Hey there! Great build! This is my first time playing a summoner and having a lot of fun with it. I have a question - how does one apply a curse (frostbite) by using our AG? Is there some item we give it? And why does it show up on the flask in the PoB? Thanks!

" Running BV inside your weapon with a trigger it will trigger when ever you use another ability. The only other two abilities you'll be using are Phase Run and Dash, both will make sure that you have your BV up all the time. Frostbite on your wand is actually a very cool option. Never thought of it. Having it on your weapon is perfectly fine. Some tips looking through your gear: I'd suggest that you got yourself new Large clusters. Try to get 8 point minion clusters with Renewal, Vicious Bite and Raze and Pillage. 12 large clusters are not worth it unless you get perfect ones. By using 8 points with the ones I suggested you'll only have to use 5 skill points per large cluster. This will save up alot of extra skill points allowing you to get another medium cluster and more defensive nodes like Tireless, Glancing Blows and Sanctuary. Looking through your gear it looks like you're lacking alot of life due to limited life nodes specced into. 12 Pointers aren't worth it unless they're perfect. As an example, if they have 3% AS and 35% increased effect this takes the attack speed from 3% up to 4% per point. If you had, say 3% AS and 25% effect it's still 3% AS because it doesn't count decimals. This is why you want to be careful about running 12 pointers, only use them if they're perfect. Otherwise, use 8 pointers and save the skill points. Gems: You currently have Hydrosphere linked with your spectres. I don't really know why but you should swap it for a blue support gem that boost their dps instead. Your best option is either Predator support or Awakened Elemental Focus. Elemental focus is more dps but disables your spectres from chilling/freezing monsters. I also suggest you get another Unset Ring if you can. This will allow you to link Elemental Army to your zombies and put Convocation in your ring. Elemental Army will provide your build with Cold Exposure which adds a nice dps boost to the build. It also gives Zombies increased max elemental resistance which helps out with their survivability. Flasks: Try to sort your flasks if possible. Get a Rumi's and try to get the Chemist prefix on all of your flasks. If you get your Avoidance through additional block and dodge, swap your life flask for a Bottled Faith. Jewels: Since you're running Grace, get a watchers eye to buff it. The best one is obviously a tripple Grace one but those are probably super expensive. Imo, get one with 15% increased movement speed and 10% increased attack dodge chance while grace is active. As for your Ghastly Eye Jewels: Try to look for Eye Jewels with ~30+ life, minions deal 20% increased damage if you've used a minion skill recently and either 8% increased attack speed if killed recently or 6% flat AS. Those 3 stats are key. For your fourth stat, if you can get, you want: Flat Phys damage > Flat Cold Damage > Flat Chaos Damage >>>> Fire/Lightning dmg. Looking through standard trade there are some really nice options out currently. https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Standard/GJQpJbcb In particular there's one jewel with all the mentioned above things and T1 cold damage for 2 exalted orbs. That's incredibly cheap. Animate Guardian: If you have alot of money lying around, you could try and get a 21/20 divergent Animate Guardian. I'm not sure what gear you're currently using on him right now. But due to how hard it is to get end game spectre chests with +1 curse I suggest getting your second curse on the AG if you haven't already. You do this by adding any corrupted gloves with Elemental Weakness to the AG and use either Windscream or Windshriek boots enchanted with the 2% life regen lab enchant. Those boots give your AG +1 Curse and 2% regen effectively allowing you to run both Frost Bite and Elemental Weakness. Other potential upgrades for the future: I'm not sure how much money you got left, but you'll want to look into upgrading your helm and shield in the future. Simply you're looking to add 3% spell crit and ~70 life to your helm. An upgrade like that should cost around 20 exalted orbs. There's stuff like this available on standard which you should try to get For shield, you're just looking for additional dmg modifiers in addition to what you have. In particular you want: Frenzy Charges = Power Charges > Additional Cold as Chaos Damage > Double Damage > % Cold or % Elemental dmg > 1% dmg per block Something like this is a very big dps increase: That's mostly what I can think off right now. |

" You get Frostbite on your AG by using a pair of Synthesized Gloves with the Frostbite on hit synthesis implicit. Pair those gloves with either Windshriek or Windscream boots for +1 Curse and you can run 2 curses in total. Frostbite on AG and EW on your necro. I'm showing all the buffs my AG provides on my flasks. In Ultimatum my AG provides: - 50% crit multi from Kingmaker - Fortify from Kingmaker - 50% increased cold/fire res to monsters from Eye of Malice. - Malediction (10% increased damage taken and 10% reduced damage dealt to nearby enemies). I got this on my Eye of Malice. In Ultimatum they added a new Unique, Glimpse of Chaos which when corrupted has a chance to turn it into any unique helm in the game with an especially powerful implicit. (Crushed, Blinded, 15% aura effect, Malediction et.c.) Some dude corrupted his Glimpse of Chaos and got an Eye of Malice with Nearby enemies are affected by Malediction and put it out for 1 ex, which I bought. This is an absolute insane helm. - Frostbite from Synthesised gloves. Since I'm running low on regen I use a Gruthkuls pelt for 5% life regen and another 2% from lab enchant. Coupled with Renewals from clusters and some other minion nodes I'm able to have 10% life regen which is enough. |

Awesome info - Thanks!
I am not very familiar with curse mechanics and AGs - synthesized gloves with the frostbite implicit are currently super expensive. Will it work if the AG has the Apply Additional Curse boots and I run Frostbite off my ring? |
