I prefer Crabs more than SOs right now.
Mainly because I don't have a good Skin of the Lords for SOs.

It comes down to preference though.

Either you go with Zombies + Crushclaws or you go with SOs + Phantasms

Let me know if you need a SO Skin with EE. I've finished the league, so mine is pretty much useless for me.

If you have a 4b-2g I would love to have it :)

I never bother with Chaos Res until very high budgets since it's extremely hard to fit it.

I'm currently working on a new low budget version that's extremely broken though. It runs Purity of Elements which opens up to get some Chaos Res on gear.

I will post a video of it and PoB right after this post.

There's no medium budget or higher budget of this version though.
But I might work on it and keep adding stuff to see how it goes.

You need Windscream boots on your AG so he gets +1 curse.

Build Update:

I decided to revisit my old PoBs since I wasn't too happy with how they were performing at league start. I've been working on trying to revamp the lowbudget version of the build and it's quite insane how powerful it turned out to be.

I bought items, clusters and skill gems for a total of 542 chaos Orbs (3.6 Exalted Orbs)

After doing some playtesting I can say for certain that it's one of the strongest budget builds I've ever played. It can do close to all content in the game. I haven't tried Uber content yet but I've done 60% quant The Feared 3 times already. I'm gonna try running a Simulacrum on it aswell to see how far it can go.

If this build is able to farm latewave simulacrums on a 3 ex budget it'll be broken for next league start.

Compared to the old low budget version it does more than 4 times the DPS.
Not only that, it's also extremely tanky as it utilizes the Small Cluster: The Front Line.

I also run Enduring Cry for 4 Endurance Charges aswell as Purity of Lightning complete Ailment Immunity. For Defenses we're also able to fit Determination aswell as Vaal Grace to make us extremely tanky versus Phys damage.

We run a total of 5 Auras without Allocating Charisma or using an Auls Uprising. This is all possible due to the March of the Legion boots I'm using.

How the boots work is that they cause the Aura gems inside it to not reserve any mana at all, but instead turn to buffs we have to activate.

I'm scaling alot of Duration in the build to make sure the Auras from March of the Legion lasts ~25-30 sec. This also results in Molten Shell lasting 10 seconds which is important for the Front Line cluster jewel to ensure maximum uptime.

The final adjustment I made to the build was adding Arcanist Brand as a budget trigger for early game. To the Arcanist Brand I've linked Flesh Offering and Frostbite. This was mainly to free up some keybinds.

Having to refresh 3 Auras every 30 sec, apply Frostbite manually to targets, summon skeletons and keep up Flesh Offering at the same time was too much.

Instead, this allows us to focus on 3 things while playing:
1. Keep up Auras, refresh every 30 sec.
2. Cast Arcanist Brand
3. Summon Skeletons

Compared to how it was in the past where we didn't cast anything, it's alot more. But the build is way stronger than it ever has been. Damage is much higher, we're borderline unkillable during Molten Shell and it's all on a budget of 3 exalted orbs.

Cons with the new version:
- Pretty spammy and annoying having to reapply Auras every 30 sec.
Sometimes you forget et.c. The cast animation on the Aura refresh is really annoying too.
- You're pretty squishy when Molten Shell is down so you have to play around that timing.
- Clearspeed isn't as fast in the past since I'm not running Syndicate Operatives and Phantasms. Will do some testing with SOs later to see how it feels.
- No Convocation feels bad for clear speed. (Can swap Enduring cry for Convocation)

guys i think my gear is not too bad and i got the skill tree pretty much set up
when i load everything in path of building i only end up with total dps of 2 mill...
what am i doing wrong^^

Read the text I've written a page or two before. I've explained the curse mechanics there.

TLDR: there is no reason in using such gloves. We always want our AG to apply EW.
