Not sure if you guys have seen it, but apparently a change in 3.16 was that the charge monkeys now generate charges consistently without lifetap (Ghazzy's latest video had this tidbit in it, tested and it seems true). I've been trying them and it seems all my minions and me are usually at 2+ charges. I switched back to phantasms and added spell echo in as well, so running FAS + monkeys now.
I changed to a more defensive shield with that - I tried the brittle one for a bit but didn't see super amazing results, I think it isn't as consistent as it could be. Also - another option for people in terms of weapon - you can craft a +1/hatred effect Stabilising Sceptre (the one with EE), fairly cheapily compared to buying good +2 wands with it. Frees up the chest somehow, either for another keystone, or maybe to look into alternative options (haven't done that yet but it is a intriguing option). Crafting method is basically alts until +1 spell, impring, regal, craft minion dmg (beast suffix->prefix if needed) and reedemer slam.. restarting from +1 state if slam misses (1 in 6). Costs about 1ex per attempt, depending on prices of the imprint and the redeemer orb. If you hit 2% increased dmg/aura, it's probably worth it to sell the scepter and start a new one (worth quite a bit). Ideally should leave you with 3 mods on the item (+1, random prefix and hatred effect), so you can multimod minion dmg and trigger. Last edited by Zegai#6797 on Nov 12, 2021, 11:58:30 AM

Build Update:
Hi people! One of the most fun aspects of playing around with new additions to a build is that you're always able to find new mechanics to play around with. I was looking around for additional ways to increase our clear speed when running Syndicate Operatives because I thought the Phantasms were holding them down a little. The reason is because the Phantasm projectiles have a pitiful range. I tried experimenting with Fork Support and Chain Support previously but noticed that Phantasm projectiles couldn't chain or fork at all. This is because they have an inbuilt 100% pierce on their projectile and due to projectile behaviour their projectiles simply will pierce infinitely. This simply means neither fork, chain or return mechanics have any effect on them. However, a pretty niche support gem caught my Eyes after reading through the PoE wiki and I found the "Faster Projectile" support gem. I didn't know this was how projectiles (Atleast Phantasm Projectiles) worked but it seems these projectiles have a set time limit their out and depending on the time their out, their range is based on how far they're able to reach during that time. This means that if we can double the velocity at which these projectiles travel we can also double the range they cover which drastically increases the clear speed. Here's a video of how it looks: Syndicate Operative Faster Proj Support Testing I already thought the operatives were doing fine on their own but it's actually quite insane how good it feels to run Faster Proj in the setup. This does however mean that we're losing another damage link for our spectres and phantasms. For this reason I believe this only really becomes viable once we start getting higher level gear were the spectres are fine with losing a dmg link. I'm afraid running the spectres in a helm with only +3 levels and minion dmg might make them do too little dps for this to be effective. A Hypothermia helm however is sufficient enough and it allows these minions to clear extremely effectively. One problem with running this setup is that it uses 2 green sockets which isn't really optimal. If you wanna try this out and already got a Hypothermia Helm I urge you to recolor your helm and make it 2 blue 2 white in colors with the help of Vorici from Betrayal syndicate houses. 2 Blue and 2 White also perfectly fits with the BiS colors for primal crushclaws if you want to try running four of them. " I was also thinking on building running the apes as supports, though with 2 crabs instead. This would mean both monkeys would be fully supported with melee phys gems meaning they also would be able to smack a little bit. The setup I was thinking about was trying out 2 monkeys, 2 crabs and fitting Tempest Shield for max block and spell block. We'd also be running Divine Shield for alot of ES regen stacking alot of Armour. When PoBing on my character I managed to reach 15 million Sirusdps which is a huge blow but I got up my defenses to insane levels. This is how the PoB stats look: My only fear is linking the damn monkeys to Minion damage which might mean they will flop like flies. Btw, how's FAS with Phantasms working? " An insane amount of luck having to get 4 second trigger on top of the t1 minion attack/cast speed and t1 hatred aura effect. This wand is so efficient for me because of the 4 second trigger. It frees up 4 skill points that would normally go into skill effect duration to maintain perma BV |

" It's working fine, their damage is pretty solid even without crits. The spell echo does a lot to help the combination - 2 FAS is enough to get 11 phantasms always. I think minion damage may be optional, although the +1 level from awakened does a lot to mitigate the life reduction. They haven't died a whole lot on me yet, only on Veritania so far, but the carrions died too. I added indomitable army after that to try to help. I'm currently running divine shield on my setup, and bone offering, glancing blows for capping. Tempest shield might be interesting to drop glancing blows, would need to see how to fit it. |

" Awakened Added Cold if you have the money. Otherwise Awakened Cold pen is still better. For clear speed, try running Faster Projectiles like I did in the video above. Test if your dmg is enough for them to be clearing with it. |

Hi, i reroled my carrion physical impale build for this (with medium budged SO in mind), because i like so much the SO's, and i dont know what im doing wrong. I know my gear is not so good, but i thougt i was going to do so much DPS for this investment.
I need to change the cluster for one with Vicious Bite instead COTS, try to find another unset ring to put convocation and frosbite/lifetap in trigger wand. Im saving for a skin of the lords too. But i see people with similar gear doing 5-10 million Sirus DPS, while for me takes like 20 seconds to kill a map boss. Defense is not good too, but i dont care if i can kill mobs before they kill me, but is not the case. Thanks in advance for your advise!
