[3.21] Cold Conversion Summoner | Build guides for all budgets | (Ghazzy Zoomancer)

Hello guys, it's my first time playing Necromancer, and I'm very new to PoE in general. Just reached level 91 and figured out how to start spawning Maven...

I was lucky enough to get 3 exalts, would someone please tell me which items I need to change/acquire in order to progress my build? (I'm completely clueless) https://pastebin.com/WPMUQsBG

I was thinking of Cluster Jewels, or a new helm but they all seem to be extremely expensive, Overall I have enough dmg to clear trash in T14-16 maps, I struggle against bosses and sometimes get 1 popped if I'm not careful. In your opinion what should I try to get next in order to progress?

Last thing I did, was use my Animate Guardian and I've equiped him with the items from the Animate Guardian Section. (only the armor is a Budget one, because I didn't have 1.2ex at the time for the armor that makes it Crit Immune)

I'm running 4 SO, 5 Carrior Golems, 8 Zombies, 2 Skitterbots and 1 Animate Guardian. Thank you so much in advance.

First of all get all your gems to 20% quality. there is ALOT of dmg which you are missing. As far as Ive seen your gems are already lvl 20. so get them out and vendor them with a Gemcutters so that the vendor gives you the same Gem back on lvl 1 but with 20% quality. then run a few low maps to level those gems fast. afterwards invest your 3 ex for awak gems. that gives you alot of dmg aswell.

Afterwards focus on a wand similiar to mine. They arent expensive. That should be enough for the start.
In your personal character. Is there a reason you are running "determination reserves less mana" in your poe passive tree or am I mistaken

Ok thanks, didn't know that quality is that important. I'll do that, you think buying the Awakened gems should be my first priority, and then sort out the Skill Tree & Cluster Jewels, Minion Helm, Rare Wand later?

I would go -> 20% quality gems -> Wand -> awak gems -> helmet. Cluster jewels I would prioritize as a last step. Since we have the new tree with Masteries im not quite sure if a cluster is that important anymore.

Just finished sirus deathless, but he killed my animated guardian... i forgot to turn him off

rip 1exalt of gear. Lucky part is that i did not give him the ele weakness grave gloves yet.

but i got this as compensation from him, so i'm not salty.
I feel pretty, Oh, so pretty,
I feel pretty, and witty and gay,
And I pity Any girl who isn’t me today!

I try to think of this build as a golem build, with the spectres playing a supporting role. That means your helm should really be the first thing to upgrade, because atm it's 3 support gems with +3 to minion gem lvls. Look for a 'supported by minion damage' elder helm with at least +2 to minion gems, +3 is better but harder to get nice affixes on for a low price. The long term power creep mainly comes from the helm, you can invest 100ex into one and it will continue to give you more and more dps to your golems.

Getting a good wand is certainly something to consider, but in doing so you lose a whole golem, that's 1/5th of the dps. PoB can come in handy to do some paper math to compare the switch to a wand, but generally speaking I'd say +1/+1 to gems with good minion suffix roles would be a comparable switch. Granted with the trigger affix you get a tonne of convenience, but it's not too hard to cast curse and offering manually until you have something worth swapping to.

The boots you have mean you can get that 4th spectre but to my mind it's not worth the cost a good set of rare boots that will give you life/res and more movememnt speed. Consider a Skin of the Lords to make up for this, but this would be after the helm imo.

Certainly look to get quality on the gems, and save for an awakened cold pen gem, that would allow you to drop elemental army from your zombies and get frostbite curse. This is a very powerful dps boost for bosses and elite packs, it might even be worth dropping army straight up so you can use curse instead. Alternatively if you go with a trigger wand, look to get a new ring with frostbite on hit.

One thing you can do right now for (nearly) free is respec your tree. The annointments on amulets mean you don't need to have that node allowcated on the tree to get the benefit from it, you don't even need to path there. That means you can remove all the points from Death Attunment right up to the small life passive node, and then use those points to path down through the Shaper node into constitution. With the left over 1 point I suggest you pick up the '+50 to maximum life' point from a 'Life Mastery' wheel. Other nice choices here are regen while moving or some people recommend the flask one.

Once you've made this change you could consider getting a Thread of hope, and respec out of the top right half of your tree, but it will feel pretty different when you do. Indomitable Army gives a huge defensive boost, so make sure you allowcate Sacrafice, and drop the minion leech tree master passive for 'minions recover 5% life on minion death'. This is constantly procc'd by the spectres generating new phantasms to replace the old ones. With all the extra points you get from using a thread it's worth picking up Devotion, and it will help with the move to a cluster jewel, but this is not urgent on the list imo. Another good spot for points is going for Quick Reovery, or Annointed Flesh. Elemental damage is a little dangerous for the build, so even +1 all res will help a lot, plus you get some nice other nodes to help with shock/burn/curse.
Hello there,

I've been following your guide and i love this build but I struggle with damage a bit. T12 and up is a little problematic and I couldn't complete 10 way fight in Hamlet region. In pob I have only roughly 1,1 mil damage combined which is nothing compared to your 23 mil damage. I have the feeling that I should do a bit more damage but I seem to lack something.
I'm using Primal Crushclaws.

Here is my gear:

Once you've got the "base" of the build set and you start looking towards bigger ticket items this is generally the upgrade path I like to go:

1. Wand: The Wand is the most important big upgrade to get if you're going from Clayshaper straight into a +2 trigger wand. The reason is because the +2 and additional minion damage provides the biggest dps upgrade to the build overall as it affects all minions. It also provides trigger which is a huge QoL aswell as much needed minion survivability from the levels which is needed for zombies and the AG.

2. Helm: This is the second big item one should go for. We're talking +3 with minion damage helm into a +3 minion dmg helm with Hypothermia aswell. Generally a 10-15 ex upgrade. Can also be selfcrafted pretty easily.

3. Auls Uprising: I got this item as my second upgrade because Hatred reservation necks were out for 5 ex and I suspected they would rise in price. So I snagged this quickly. This item provides everythign the build needs and if you get hatred reservation you get flexibility with using both Vaal Haste and Vaal Grace as Auras.

4. Proper Skin of the lords with Elemental Equilibrium.
If you're running a Skin of the lords with a non optimal keystone and the EE chest is expensive, this is the point where I would consider getting it.
I only bought mine first because I could snag both my chests for 1 ex each.

5. +2 minimum frenzy and power charge Brittle on block shield.
These shields don't exist, feels like I'm the person inventing this shield. Majority of Necro Aegis builds go with Titanium shields. I think people are sleeping on this one. It seems incredibly broken.
All of us will most likely have to craft this ourselves.

5. +2 Spectre Boots. Now we're getting into some really expensive Maven Orb item territories.

6. Minmaxed Rings with perfect resistances, +3 unset for AG et.c. to prepare for losing all resistances from belt.

7. Headhunter or Magebane.

Good job!

Gotta keep an eye on that AG or simply just desummon him.
I will limit test my AG next Sirus so might lose him. Want to see if he survives Sirus now that I have Indom Army for him.

That being said, my Carrion Golems sometime die this league. Don't really know why. Seems like their HP is too low.
Lost a Carrion Golem and all zombies to a Phoenix Invitation earlier which is kinda annoying. They all seem to get blasted by the Phoenix self destruct bomb thingy. AG and spectres at full hp though.
