I haven't yet. Thanks for making me aware of uniques I didn't know existed :D

Actually looks pretty interesting. The question is whether an Abyss socket is strong enough to warrant going down to a 5-link.

More like 5.5 link + Abyss Jewel tbh

Mentioning that it might be worthwhile to swap out frostbite for assasin's mark on boss fights, since we wont generate power charges from victarios against bosses.

From the lowbudget pob. 5.5m shaper dps running frost bite but no power charges. This goes up to 6.5m shaper dps with assassin's mark and power charges.

Now if we look at this with the addition of summon phantasm on the 6L.
6L Spectre-Elemental Damage with attacks-Minion Damage- Elemental Focus-Increased crit dmf-phantasm

4.7m + 1.6m (phantasm) = 6.3m shaper dps with frost bite and no power charges.

6.1 + 2.3m (phantasm) = 8.4m shaper dps with ass mark + power charges.

Yeah this is true. Might actually try this out.
We're already going to have to gemswap 2 gems in the spectres for single target.
Might aswell add another one to the list.
Can also find Assassin's Mark on rings which is good for lategame. It loses the power charge on hit effect though.

Thanks for the great insights around the build, but will there be an exact 3.16 PoB build? I'd like to try out golems in this league but I have no clue how to modify the current build.

Just finished most PoBs, will upload them here shortly :)

I'm thinking about a possibility of us using ToH along with annointing Whispers of Doom to either apply 2 curses directly or get 3 curses setup with help of Rare chest (in case we use it). I hate applying curses manually, so probably I'll have to use Storm Brand and curse-on-hit ring + gloves.

In the PoBs I've designed we're using medium thread of hopes in medium budgets and higher. Simply have to do that, it saves too many points.

We're simply Grabbing 3 Life nodes and Golem Commander.
Ditching Indomitable Army and Ravenouz Horde entirely. Dpswise, we barely lose anything. The main reason why we were running Indomitable Army was to cap the elemental resistance of our minions. This puts our Golems at 70% all res though so might have to run a Ghastly Eye Jewel with 10% all res in the later game.

With the ToH I choose to annoint Death Attunement aswell. It saves so many skillpoints. Literally saves 27 skill points which allows us to invest into Cluster Jewels aswell.

For high budget I'm annointing Charisma. This allows me to run Hatred, fully juiced Skitterbots with Bonechill + Awakened Unbound Ailment, Grace and Determination while having mana to 150 unreserved mana.
This literally puts me at 25k Armour and 20k Evasion rating.
With a Grace Watcher's eye and Vaal Grace we could get close to getting Evasion Capped ontop of being Block Capped(Glancing Blows). Actually insane defenses, don't know how you die with all that up.

Best option for running tripple curses if you want to try it out is to run a dual curse ring. You do this by awakening orbing a redeemed ring with Frostbite and a Shaper ring with Assassin's Mark. Both are suffixes so if you hit a third good suffix it's a jackpot ring.
Combine that with EW green triads and you're set.
I have a feeling 4 green triads with EW are gonna be non-existant this league though because majority of minion builds most likely will move away from cold conversion to pure phys.

For Galesight: it should be 25% to apply it, based on the damage and the formula. Brittle formula is 25*(damage/ailment threshold)^0.4.
There's a thread on reddit for it: https://www.reddit.com/r/PathOfExileBuilds/comments/p0b5rt/how_does_galesight_work/
I don't know if there's a good way to test it.. ie how much damage would the AG need to do to reliably proc Brittle.

For the shield: yeah it'd work too. I wonder how rare The Squire will be - a 10-12 link for golems or spectres seems like the maximum possible DPS for this build with it, so it'd be good to have an alternative for the Squire. I guess we could always just scale the AG damage in that case.

Read the reddit post. Actually sounds extremely promising to try his setup.
I just would like to know how to calculate the procc chance of his brittle proccing.

If it's once every 20 hits or something, then maybe it's not worth it.
But if he reliable can procc it every 3 hits or something it's definitely worth it. He was running Unbound Ailment with the AG though, dunno if I can fit that in the build in any way.

Best damage setup is definitely going to be running a 9-link weapon (if someone manages to craft it somehow) with the shield. It's gonna be a Carrion Golem(Or stone Golem) build with Chieftains for frenzy and power charges. I'm pretty sure of it.
Yeah, I think for general use a crafted heist shield with Necro Aegis will be better.. a theoretical build with The Squire would probably need shfiting a bunch of things around (maybe AG to a minion helm and add unbound in there, for example).

double curse rings are not craftable anymore.
[3.16] Build update:

I've now finished theory crafting most of my PoBs for the upcoming league start. Since GGG really threw us a curveball this league we really had to redesign everything and think outside the box to make everything work.

That has lead me to try some really wonky things in the pursuit of making a build that can do most content earlygame and eventually scale into farming the late game while dishing out high damage and being survivable.

These are the current iterations I've come up with:

Leveling Builds:
I've designed two similar builds for leveling. One stands true to the original way of leveling going the pure Phys damage route with Carrion Golems and Syndicate Operatives. But as we all know, operatives are impossible to come by on league start so we basically run a pure golem build until the next day.

I've decided to also create a Hatred build that runs Artless Assassin's Spectres instead. These are easy to get (Smugglers Den Heist contracts) and can be obtaied early on during acts.
These spectres have an inbuilt 75% fire Conversion so they don't work very well with Pride and Impale, though they work excellent with Hatred. The hatred version vastly outperforms the pure phys version and I recommend everyone to try it. If you want to play it safe and run something you're more familiar with, run the new improved phys version instead though.

Both PoBs uses leveling gear consisting of a tabula, other 1 chaos uniques and cheap rares with high life and low resistances.
PurePhys

Uses Carrion Golems and Syndicate Operatives to scale phys damage with Pride and Dreadbanner. With the new Aura efficiency changes it also is able to run both Purity of Elements and Vitality for huge survivability increases.

Biggest downside is you can't get SO spectres on day one. Also, these spectres have been nerfed to oblivion, unsure whether they are worth running at all after the nerfs. Will need to test them after the patch.

Leveling PoB (Classic): https://pastebin.com/zLcjQHjz

Hatred

My new leveling build is a completetly new creation that runs Carrion Golems with Artless Assassin Spectres from Smugglers Den Heist contracts.
I believe this build vastly outperforms the pure phys version, both during leveling and in early maps.

The best thing about this version is that it transitions smoothly into the cold conversion build. Basically, just equip Triad Grips and get the new Spectres and you're done.
I will be running this version on league start. I'm sure it will be able to pull it's own weight. Leveling through act1-4 are going to be exactly the same as during earlier leagues.

Leveling PoB (Hatred): https://pastebin.com/1fEJZ53D

Low Budget PoBs:
I've gone ahead and created 3 different low budget PoBs. All of these PoBs are higher budget in the past. I'm not sure we'll be able to get away with killing A9 Sirus on a 100 chaos budget any longer.

The biggest change is that I've included Primordial Jewels very early this time. It's a gamble banking on minions not being meta this league. Last league Primordial Mights cost 50 chaos during league start compared to the past where I used to buy them for 300 chaos. Golem jewels might be 200+ chaos again this league, we just don't know yet. If they're expensive, then simply skip them and get them later.

The three different builds I've made is a classic cold conversion summoner only using Spectres and Golems. The other one is basically the same build, though running Phantasms linked with the spectres. The third and final PoB is a tanky low budget version. I've sacrificed alot of dps in this version to get 77/63 attack and spell block without Glancing Blows, 37k Armour and 6k health.
The dps is also more than enough to clear T16 red maps. This version should be an absolute unit.
If you don't mind having lower dps and clearing things slower but want to be extremely tanky early on, then go for this version.
Classic

This is the classic lowbudget version. I've done alot of optimizations to the build and I think this version actually is stronger than in expedition.
It's hard to know how hard the EE nerf will hit us, but I think I managed to redesign the build to have better survivability and dps.

The question is whether Hyrri's Watchers can outperform Syndicate Operatives.

Low budget (Classic): https://pastebin.com/ahb5utyA

Phantasms

This is my new creation and what I will be running this league. If it doesn't work, all it requires is some gem swaps in the body armour and I'm back to the classic low budget build. I don't think the PoB numbers will lie though.

The question is whether we will be able to keep up phantasms consistently during boss fights though since there only is a 10% chance to procc a phantasm everytime a spectre hits the boss.

Low Budget (Phantasm): https://pastebin.com/6GY2bgZ3

TankGOD

My tanky version of a low budget league starter.
This unit runs a max block build without Glancing Blows with 34k Armour. This should make us completely unkillable versus physical damage. The build also works at picking all life nodes together with Elemental Aegis on a Magna Eclipsis Shield to prevent damage spikes from Elemental damage.

This version runs Hatred, Determination and unlinked Skitterbots. It doesn't run necro Aegus either while putting a lower emphasis on picking damage nodes.
If the league turns out to be extremely rippy and going more classcannony as we've traditionally done in the past, this might be the clear approach forward.

Low Budget (Tanky): https://pastebin.com/NfheWdCL

Medium Budget:
This is the new version of a medium budget build.
I'm unsure how the price of this build will be in Scourge League. Hopefully it will be really strong but no one knows until we get to try it out.
My guess is that the build will be stronger than during Expedition, but as with the lower budget builds, I simply don't know whether Hyrri's Watch + Phantasm can outcarry the old Syndicate Operatives.
MediumBudget

Not much to say, keep in mind that this build is pretty experimental at this stage. We're running new spectres and new links and adding a third dps minion into the build. It might prove to be extremely powerful, or we will die to anything that looks our way. We don't know if the new league mechanic is overtuned or not.

Medium budget: https://pastebin.com/rrZUt3Uy

Intermediate Budget:
IntermediateBudget

This is the intermediate to higher end version of the build I will be working towards. It's not really minmaxed just yet but will use several high ticket items.

My goal with this version is to stack both Determination with Vaal Grace while running a Skin of the Lords chest for the 100% increased global defense modifier. This along with the newly buffed flasks hopefully, will let us trivialize most content in the game. The dps should be respectable aswell.

Intermediate Budget: https://pastebin.com/KQTC2tLU

High Budget:
HighBudget

No one knows how the high budget will look yet. This version will be using new scourge corrupted items and hopefully combining them with other mirror tier items. Hopefully, this will be a project under construction.

FYI the Phantasms POB is the same as the phys leveling one.
