" Heya! Champion get's a kind of a headstart with his ascendancies giving impale, shaving some mana reservation and giving you free fortify, but I think that ranger is stronger because of the frenzy stacking for free and higher mobility. Free onslaught also helps freeing up a flask slot that can be used either for a QS flask or another survivability flask. Problem is the progression on Champion feels more continuous opposed to the amore gear dependent Raider/Deadeye. All options are definitively viable and really strong, but they have different benefits that cater to different playstyles and possible setups. Dodge + Evasion def feels better than armour for mitigation with some evasion and dodge stacking, but armour gives you the possibility of tanking hits that would otherwise one shot you with the same amount of HP but less phys dmg reduction. Nonetheless a good max dodge + high evasion setup with high enough life deals with that easily as either Ranger or Assassin. Hope that helps and answers your question! Have a great one, buddy! Stay sane! Fell in love with PoE and now it's my crack.

" Heya! Thanks for replying! At this point your low budget setup seems real solid! For upgrades I recommend getting a Ryslatha's coil and a nice Feed the Fury, Fuel the Fight and SMite the Weak/Martial Prowess cluster with 8 passives. Then socket jewels in the cluster's sockets with at least one crit multi mod, life gain on hit and mximum life. It will increase your damage. Getting the medium sized ring Thread of Hope might help as well with the bonus damage from frenzy stacking and the damage boost from endurance charges, you'll even be able to get an extra maximum life node. you can also try reallocating passives in order to finish allocanting all four passives from Thick skin's cluster and allocate Honed edge. Annointing Marked for death will give you a hefty 1.5 million single target dps boost and if you preffer you can annoint Blade master for a 1 million dps boost not counting the mark. Leveling up a bit might also help allocate more good nodes on your passive tree(around level 91 will help a lot). Hope that helps! And as always, have a great one buddy! Feel free to ask any further questions and seek help with optimization! :) Fell in love with PoE and now it's my crack.

Hey man do you mind checking my items? I'm sat on like 150c and not sure what to aim for. Weapons are still out of reach and if i buy serpent gloves, i need to replace something else for losing 80% res
Yo.

Thanks again for the guide!
Any tips on survivability for me? I seem to be just getting 1 shot a lot. |
|
Maybe add a section about how to cap dodge, and about defensive layers, seems like a lot of people ask about it

" I ended up going back and removing DPS to add about 1000 more life from %Life nodes. Definitely helping a lot!!! |

" Heya! Thanks for replying! Sorry for taking too long to answer. Dropping damage to increase life does help a lot with survivability since you'll increase the damage needed to oneshot you. You may also get a vaal grace and not link it to a increased to have it up to use at a higher frequency and use at moments where there is a large mob concentration around you. I see you're using leap slam with fortify, but alongside The Saviour that lowers your dps and Dread Banner is the fortify source for this build when you still need Fortify, just need to remember to place the banner to have a DPS boost while the banner has stages and get fortify by pplacing it, then activate dread banner again after it's duration expires to stack stages again. You should try capping your cold res, 5% res doesn't seem like a lot, but can always become the difference between tanking a sequence of hits and surviving by leeching or being oneshot/getting your regen/leech/LGOH overrun by enemy damage. Getting to cap your chaos res helps a lot, good job on getting it positive. If you get a Thread on Hope you'll have to fix your resistances but will get easy access to a good life/survivability node in Bravery. Also, if you swap the nomad for a ryslatha atm, you get a pretty good life boost. Later on if you plan on going the pure LGOH route, you may as well start looking for a nice pair of gripped gloves with +1 maximum frenzy charges and decente life. Hope that helps with info. Feel free to ask ny further questions! Fell in love with PoE and now it's my crack.

" Heya! Sorry for the delay! Despite you having good gear in general rn, you need to cap your resistances without depending on flasks, it is REALLY important since you'll not have flaks up all the time and boss fights can get you suffering real easy because of that. Try replacing your boots ASAP since they give you low res, if possible get a resistance craft on your body armour, swap the helmet resistance craft for a R3 lightning res craft to increase your resistances. You may not get the Offering to the Serpent gloves and jump straight into Gripped gloves with high life, res and life gained on attacks, but for that you need to level up and allocate important damage nodes on the tree. Get a Pride Aura to increase damage, swap wise oak for a sulphur flask. If you need to swap the gold ring giving you -x to non-channeling skills, you may swap maim for lifetap and use life for casting Lancing Steel. Since you are not using the large cluster, unallocate the large socket and the 2 adjacent passives and get a regular jewel socket. Get jewels with increased maximum life that also increase your damage. You need to focus on your basic survivability setup with this build before going after damage upgrades. After getting that base done, focus on upgrading stuff. Have in mind that Jewel sockets may not seem as important as regular passives, but they are important. Hope that helps. When you get your resistances upgrades done, I'll be able to focus on helping you with increasing your damage. RN I can't focus on anything besides your res not being capped, lul. " Heya! Thanks for replying! Yeah, that's a real good suggestion, was thinking about it. I need to explain better that part to people and explain that the fortify source after getting the Saviour is Dread Banner. WIll be tough, though. I already hit the 50k characters cap on the guide and each Update I make I need to resume some stuff to fit in other stuff. Will Try writing in depth information in the Notes of all PoB files to explain stuff related to survivability and each budget's setups there in order to free up some space. Also working on optimizing the current Notes on the leveling PoB. Kinda short on time rn because of work, so I'm trying to work on the guide on my spare time. Soon there will be updates to the guide with more info. That's the first guide I've ever written, I'm surely learning a lot from this experience and my next guide wont be so full of holes as this was. hehe I really thank all the people who have taken their time to check it out and get in touch with me. I really did not expect so many views and comments, that got me hyped up. Fell in love with PoE and now it's my crack. Last edited by Leckarion#5933 on Apr 25, 2021, 1:54:11 PM
