[Outdated] Lancing Steel Raider | SoftCore | Not league starter viable anymore
" Heya! As far as I know it only procs adrenaline when you get from 51%+ hp to low life(now 50% hp), since I'm reserving 51% of my health for Herald of Purity, I'm always at low life, this means I will not Proc adrenaline. I'll test it anyways the next time I play. Wasn't even able to stream today unfortunately. How is your character going? Have a great one, dude. Edit: Dropped Petrified blood cuz it sucks without proper setup. Will try again when I hit chaos res cap and get divine flesh to see if it's worth it. Also, adrenaline doesn't proc if you have low life at all times. Fell in love with PoE and now it's my crack. Last edited by Leckarion#5933 on Apr 21, 2021, 12:29:53 PM

Hey, looking to try out this build, but I've got a couple questions
-How is the survivability? I know its a "glass cannon" as you said but can you reliably survive ultimatums/t16 maps/high tier bosses? I hate dying every map And what can it do with a starting budget of ~11 ex or so? Would it be able to clear 4 watchstone conquerors/sirus? And if it doesn't bother you too much, what items should I start off with? Put 10ex into a saviour or spread out the currency on all gear slots? |

Had about 60c to spend the other day and did a lot of upgrading.
Ended up going with cast on damage taken > immortal call > vulnerability > steelskin and got my 6L Pierce is definitely the strongest, tried fork+chain but dps drop was huge. I'm miles off a saviour so im still stuck with my beltimbers which is probably my biggest drawback Yo.

Hey Man. Having a blast right now. Leveling was kinda rough but atm its running quite smooth. Mid yellow Maps.
Two questions: when should i change ascendensies? Level 85 right now. What to upgrade next? Right now more or less SSF but workng quite well. As the prices of the saviour are comming down ill would save up for that? Got some Oskarms and Tomfists in the stash. |

Hey Leckarion, it is the first time I play PoE. I started with this build because it seemed fun and there was detailed info.
I'm having a blast... this is super fun. So thank you. As a total noob, I'm still learning but there is one thing bogging my mind right now. With all the curses you get most of you mana reserved. How do you upkeep the mana without using mana flasks ? How does it works ? I'm still leveling up, and can't figure out how to maintain the mana. Thank you. |

" Get a ring that has -# mana cost to non-channeled abilities, makes it so easy. Mana on hit or mana leech % attack damage is also good. I'm capped on mana reserve and never run out, but if there are no mobs i go OOM very quick Yo. Last edited by Pruney#7985 on Apr 21, 2021, 12:13:11 PM

" Heya @presidentpt! You can do exactly as Pruney pointed out, bu if you have a 6-link you can also change Slower Projectiles for lifetap support(this is the solution I'm currently using) since lifetap gives you exactly the same damage numbers as Slower Projs support. Edit: Lifetap Support makes you spend life instead of mana. Fell in love with PoE and now it's my crack. Last edited by Leckarion#5933 on Apr 21, 2021, 12:19:57 PM

" Heya! At the moment I'm planning on getting a Threado of hope with -10 resists and after that I'll save for a The Saviour, prices are starting to drop, so might expect to be able to grab one soon for 6ex or even less. For now try getting a Ryslatha. Also, remember that using 2 guard skills on CWDT is unoptimal since they share cooldown. Fell in love with PoE and now it's my crack.

" Heya! Thanks for replying! I tried loading your PoB but your account is set to private, so I can't actually see how is your character doing thus not being able to accurately help ya. But you should change from Deadeye to Raider when you get a 6-link body armour (I'm currently using Lioney's Vision, which helps with dps giving free pierce), an Offering to the Serpent and a decent Large Cluster. Edit: The Oskarm and Tombfist are nice, but getting a OttS with good stats will improve dps and surivability. Fell in love with PoE and now it's my crack. " Heya! Thanks for the reply! You can easily get into the build and try to stack a bit of life gain on hit(LGOH) to improve survivability. You're not going to die every time, I managed to get up to level 96 without running breaches and 5-ways last league, after hitting 96 I rushed breaches and 5-ways until I hit 100. But you have to keep in mind that you need to know the limits your your character, reposition yourself everytime to avoid damage and while using beltimber, exploit farshot whenever possible. I would definitively not recommend spending all your currency on a The Saviour, cuz you'll have an awesome weap and no dmg nor survivability, buy other gear first and after that get a the saviour(the prices are dropping btw). I don't really know how much I already spent this league since it's kinda hard to keep track of, but I'm currently in mid budget and running red maps without much trouble, only gets troublesome when I end up buffing too much my maps. Here is the raider conversion of my character.(Just changed Molten Shell for Steelskin, and all armour flasks to evasion) https://pastebin.com/zJBe0mv8 this PoB will last only 2 weeks before being deleted since it will be outdated by then(also, the resists are not capped because I get armour and res nodes with my champion to increase phys dmg reduction and increase res cap) By the way, my cluster is crap, the best option is a Large cluster with 8 passives and the notables Feed the Fury, Fuel the fight and Smite the weak, but I bought mine for 35c, so I'll later upgrade that. You could take a look at that PoB and see if you can get similar gear capping your res with the 11ex budget you have. If you're already playing a Duelist and are willing to simply convert the character into this build, it also is possible and efficient as well. Fell in love with PoE and now it's my crack.
