Yes GGG, i wonder as well, when the performance issues will be fixed.
The game became almost unplayable; there is a huge graphical performance loss since last release. I am experiencing huge frame rate drops while doing new game content like harvester enriched maps or even the additional metamorph enrichment on the maps! I played this season allot.
Level 98 on PC which I have a rtx 3070/5600x. Smooth as butter. I think I crashed a few times. Level 94 on console. Play on my series X. Amazing on good it runs. 100% delerium no issues. Feels and plays like mid range PC. I crashed a few times same as PC. Console runs so good that I will only be playing console going forward. |

" That's great for you, on a next gen console. The vast majority of players are still on PS4/XB1. And even on the next gen consoles, some players are experiencing lots of crashes or other issues. Does it really run so well on XSX? Have you tried a rare T16 with the extra harbingers? If that works well, I'd love to see a video of it. Preferably with some sextants and scarabs as well. When I try to run juiced T16's on the PS4 pro with SSD, it's pretty bad. Harby area T14+ is impossible unless I run the with zero mods, and even then, STILL impossible if the harbys happen to spawn in a corridor or other small space. | |
You cant expect a Xbox one or PS4 to run path of exile. Thats 8 or 9 year outdated tech.
I had a Xbox one X and PoE was unplayable in red maps. You can see my 94 pathfinder toxic rain character right now. Every t16 map I juice up with scarabs and sextants. Even with delirium runs smooth. I did two simulacrums last night deathless and smooth and I have no defense on my character. I done a handful of 100% delirium this week. All smooth. If my Xbox was not smooth and had any issues I would be playing on my PC. I have a beast of a PC. I have a nice oled TV and enjoy that more. Also no bots on console which for me is a good thing. That is the whole reason I am console. |

" And yet, during the 2nd half of Heist league (just a few months ago), the game ran fine on PS4 and XB1. It ran great on my PS4 Pro w/SSD. And then along came Ritual, and ruined that. Last edited by QQPQ#9136 on Mar 19, 2021, 6:40:07 PM

Im just glad I am not the only one to have this opinion. I seriously love the game but it is broken and GGG doesn't seem to care to fix it. I've found that nothing make the game work smoothly, and it is because of this that it has become quite evident that GGG only want money and doesn't care about making good product for ALL of its supporters. I have pretty much paid for their children's college tuition and cant even play endgame stuff without my frames disappearing and reappearing with nothing but my corpse to show for it. Progression is impossible unless you have next gen stuff, super fair right? It is literally impossible to not die in some areas of the game, especially when starting a monolith or rift, during hefty rituals, and basically every single time there is more than 10 enemies on the screen. It is pathetic and GGG would be ashamed if they had anything remotely resembling business ethics. Moving to pc, hoping that changes something, but am pretty irritated that all the money I spent on stash tabs and toon slots doesn't transfer over, leaving me doubting that I will play on pc long since I absolutely will not be giving any more money to this greedy company.
It's a shame really, the world we live in is run by greed and excuses. Actions speak louder than anything I could type here, so adios GGG! |

bug fixing and MTX are usually handled by different teams, the entire GGG developement team doesn't just drop everything else just to fix bugs, there are other portions of the game to manage and develop for as well.

I have played PoE since launch on console, and have enjoyed it, but other than the last few weeks I have never truly enjoyed endgame. Going from the One to One X helped a lot, but I almost feel like I am playing a new game on the Series X the last few weeks.
Performance makes me think of Cyberpunk. Unplayable on base systems, and really not playable at all unless you have a PC or next gen console. Huge backlash against the developers has them scrambling to get it running decent on the PS5 and Series X, though it has a ways to go yet. PoE does not get the attention since it is free to play and a very niche game in general, which is sad. I think D2R will pull most of the PoE base away, even if it is a 20 year old game just from performance issues alone. If I did not have the Series X I would likely have jumped ship myself once D2R releases. I love the complexity, but stop adding more and more to this game until you can get it running smoothly for all. |

it's very playable on base ps4, i rarely have any issues in terms of performance, this league has been the most stable with only a couple of crashes.
