The pierce is nice for sure, its just a matter of how much do you need, I played originally with 9, then went down to 8, havent had any issues.
Im sure youd be fine with 4 or 5 unless your doing juiced 100% deli maps or something similar.

I did now a bit of a testing as many people recommended arcanist brand over self cast WOC. My statement to this adjustment is the following:
In my opinion it's worse by quite a bit for the following reasons:
-Only 1 Brand can be attached to an enemy, so you loose your storm brand to proc Elemental Overload. As boss fights last only a very short period, you most likely won't even proc Elemental Overload if you want to rely on your crits by BA or Arcanist Brand. (Storm Brand ticks super fast and procs EO very reliable in a short timeperiod)
-I only did a very short testing, but for me it looks like arcanist brand casts the skills not in parallel (WOC + Curse) This means it takes some time until both skills are applied to the enemy.
That's why my recommendation is to use self cast WOC + curse on hit, because:
-You only use it for bosses and no QOL for maps is needed
-If you learn boss spawn mechanics you can precast Wave of Conviction from a bit of distance, so that WOC starts traveling and hits the boss as soon as it spawns. this allows you to instantly apply WOC + Curse right of the first split second of the boss fight maximizing your DPS

That is true. However, if you're not 100% comfortable with boss fights and you are not min-maxed for survivability; arcanist brand + 1 extra aura is better.

I didn't say anything to aura setup so why you mention the combination arcanist brand + 1 aura? Aura setup and WOC+Curse setup are 2 completely different topics ;-)

Finally, really happy with the performance of this build. I still don't have elevated ignite on Helmet, no double curse chest, no dot multi Watcher's Eye, but with some modified tree and gem I killed A8 Sirus just before he phased (thx culling strike golem). To be consistent, you have to drop him to culling strike range just after he finishes using his regular laser Twice. If you are lucky sometimes with Rng, Sirus will attack the third time before he phase. Maven is no problem. she drops very quickly.
The feared is the problem, I guess I need to make that double curse chest for the extra life and smack some more chaos res.
Regarding OP - 31m dps even after copying OP's bow to my build he still have like 4-5m more dps, o well.
Edit: A correct watcher's eye adds 3m sdps and Op got extra jewel slot for 1-2m dps, seems like that's the answer lol. I really want that double corrupt bow, is the best way 6L them first and throw in double corrupt chamber?

Ok guys I have another really cool improvement for you.
Sixth link on Golems use Culling Strike.
After yesterday's video I did on Sirus it bugged me that he phased with about 10% life left... it made me think culling would be a good idea.
And it is... it's great!
Here's a vid on phase 3 A9 Sirus where I get him before he phases. You can see he is culled and this is using flesh and stone, and endurance charges, and without a proper helmet, so not going crazy DPS etc.
https://youtu.be/djcSC39hTUM
For those wondering about the Arcanist Brand setup... you can see it clearly in this vid... see how I simply pop a couple brands before he spawns, and watch the wave of convictions come out while I just spam arrows at him.
The vid is followed up by a very clean Maven kill. The key to Maven, for those that don't know, is to simply have a "clean" arena. The way you do this is make sure those Void Sphere balls are put on the edge of the arena.
You can see that even the Maven gets culled down by my golems on the other side of the arena. Awesome :)
I agree that arcanist brand is huge QOL upgrade. Just changed to it and am melting much easier. I considered getting culling strike on gloves - with my arcanist setup - but with golems I think that's a much better idea.
Are you using regular or divergent?
Regular is best because you want them to hit as much as possible.

Even 4 or 5 is overkill imo... Juiced 100% delis are totally fine on 3 :P
HardPrimat also runs with three.
A single projectile will hit a monster and most the pack (if not all) will be dead because of ignite proliferation (radius of 20), allowing a single pierce to flow through to another pack behind. Having even just one pierce is great for clear particularly when using GMP.
But if you have the option for more pierce it's always better :) just not needed.

Thanks for sharing HardPrimat.
I agree. No doubt that it is superior for overall DPS. It's more a preference of playstyle.
Another factor to consider is that for the average player, your first cast is for WOC... Meaning you are standing still for slightly longer and also your first ignite infliction is delayed. Whereas with Arcanist Brand your first attack deals an ignite infliction, albeit at a potentially lower damage rate.

In PoB arcanist brand + woc + flammability + combustion gives bonus damage.
But is it working the same in the game? Or woc that is triggered by a brand can not apply a skill connected to it?
