As far as area is concerned, taking the Fan the Flames cluster notable should do the trick. Explosions count as hits and with the Shaper of Flames phys damage can ignite, so each explosion should start an ignite chain reminiscent of that caused by Berek's. At least this is what works for me (I'm playing a different ignite build, but still). Granted, I've gone out of my way to take as much increased area of effect as possible, but the principle should still stand.

Not 100% sure about any of this though, so any input would be welcome. :)


With dyadian dawn u "deal no physical damage"

U are absolutely right that the phys would also ignite but even without
dyadian dawn we dont scale the phys at all.
But we get lots of elemental/fire damage to scale the "converted" explosion.

imo u want to convert as much as possible get herald of ash + 25 of phys as extra fire when anger(watchers eye)

elevated explo mod

Then as u said aoe is key, with enough aoe the clear would feel even better then with bereks alone+ u get herald explosions

the testing I did with explo chest were actually horrible.. you loose bereks + ignite prolif. The base dmg of the ignite is "only" the 5% corpse life as the overlapping dmg does not scale the ignite. If you don't have conversion phys -> Ele the explod dmg of 5% isn't even scaled by all the elemental damage nodes. I played a bit around in maps and everytime i killed an enemy in a pack the others ignited down slowly not even close to the chain reaction speed of bereks in maps.

That actually sums up my expectations pretty well. 5 or 3% (elevated or not, as the case may be) is too low to reliably start a chaining reaction if no investment has been made to boost the damage explo does. And it's really difficult to introduce a lot of sources of "physical added as elemental" on so gear-intensive a build. Sure, you can go out of your way to craft this stat on almost every piece (quiver, boots, gloves, rings), take every aura/buff you can (Hatred, Herald of Ash, Anger + Watcher's Eye), but the opportunity cost of doing so is imo too high to be viable, especially considering Berek only occupies one equipment slot, requires no further investment and achieves a comparable, if not better, result.

These issues could be alleviated to some degree by the Fan the Flames cluster notable, but I'm not 100% sure it works on ignites caused by the explo mod.
Can i use explosive body armor for this build? And if i want more attack speed what should i do?
It's a good starter build?
Could work. But leveling a fire ele is super tedious...

I ended up using Immortal call (cast on hit) and got endurance charges from Lethal pride ! so i am not dying anymore :)
