IMO, they just don't want to optimize for last-gen systems and are willing to bet that everyone will be playing on generation 5 consoles soon, anyway...
That won't fix their crap, but at least it'll be more crap shoved at the screen, faster, if playing on next-gen gear. IF anyone can get one of those before Gen6 comes out. I don't understand how a company could set this product out on the table for consumers and not appear to care about the experience of those consumers. Every League is just an open beta disguised by a different title. In effect, because we're on console, we're three steps removed from "Product Functioning as Intended" regarding the last league, not even the current one in any given League. I'd appeal to Micro$oft, but we all know Micro$oft is happy with their commissions from processing online transactions through their console... They don't give a crap, either. I've bought nothing from GGG in a long time because of this very issue - Constant performance issues make console play unrewarding at exactly the stage when it's supposed to be rewarding. I'm sure next League it'll be just more Angry Squares on the screen with some kind of sound-que the player is supposed to listen for fifteen seconds AFTER the point it was actually meaningful for them to do so... And, of course, we have to have new one-shot, ya-didn't-see-that-coming-did-ya mechanics, just because there's not already enough laughter in GGG's "Console Development" office. IB4 - "We are working hard on these issues and we are dedicated to providing our console players the best possible gaming experience. We value your input! Have you tried turning it off and then back on, again?" |

Hi there, is there a way to minimise impact of death by lag? It's getting unbearable, play 3 hours, die and back to square one..
I'm on xbox series x and am running on 500mb internet |

" If it's really truly lag, then try a different gateway. The game tries to pick the best gateway for you, but sometimes it does weird stuff (like put you on a Europe gateway even if you're in the US, or whatever). I phrase it that way because there a bunch of different performance issues that one might describe as "lag" that aren't directly controlled by your internet performance (which true lag is). Can you be a bit more descriptive about what you're experiencing? |
