I had a question regarding mana reservation from auras. How are you able to keep some of your mana from being reserved? I looked at the tree and didn't see anything you'd taken specifically to do that and didn't see anything on your armor which gives it. I'm a fairly new player so sorry if this is silly question. I'm just trying to figure out how to keep two auras up and still have a small bit of mana for my other spells (besides spectres with the blood magic support).

Hey Gygaxin!

I'm glad you're having such a good time. Thanks for the kind feedback :).

As you level up and add points to the passive tree, you'll inherently gain mana. But this build doesn't need any mana bonuses. All three auras reserve a %, not a flat amount. War Banner at 10%, Flesh and Stone (with Maim) at 28%, and Pride at 50%. So that's 88%. The only mana you need is to activate Shield Charge which is minimal. Though, if you need to raise/summon minions, I normally need to deactivate an aura to do so.

Hey Elocara!

Filters are prioritized from top to bottom. So no matter the changes that are made lower in a filter, if that item is triggered by a higher code, it'll show that first. So, once you're within the filter, click within the filter and Ctrl-F "amulets". I have all my Amulets, rings, and belts together with some exceptions. They are also filtered by item level 84 (for the sake of resist rolls). Then there are some exceptions regarding influenced items, incursion drops...stuff like that.

But for general amulets, search for "amulets" within the filter itself and you should find what you're looking for...if I understood you correctly.

I couldn't find the reference to where I was talking about unmodified gems. So I'm not quite sure what you mean, sorry. The only thing I can think of is that sometimes people modify my builds to their own taste. That's one of my favourite parts of the game is the freedom people have to make a build their own. Sometimes though, when people make changes to the guide, and those changes don't work out, they forget that their setup isn't the way the guide states. So anytime someone runs into a wall, and they deviated from the guide, I simply suggest that they go back to the guide's version of the build and see if that improves things for them.

Maybe that's it?

That must be it, makes sense. We're cruising right along, this build is a SSf dream for sure. Our gear is getting better bit by bit :)

This build is awesome, I'm running one stygian silverback and two kitava's heralds. Just finished my final ascendancy and am mowing over everything I've tried so far. I've picked up some juicy upgrades since my last post:

Oof. I tried going The Baron-route, but it is by far too difficult to get to over 1000 strength without straying far from your build. The maximum I've reached so far is 685 strength, more or less. Aside from that I really struggled to (over)cap my resistances, I don't think it's possible without spending either an absurd amount of currency on high resistances gear while maintaining strength and life and other stuff. I think The Baron is completely out of question. What's your take on that?

In case you're wondering, our Spectres have about 100k life :D

Another thing; What do you think of Montregul's Grasp? While it seems interesting, in comparison to a decent convoking wand it only offers up to 100% physical minion damage, more life (uneccessary) and more resistances (our zombies are already overcapped) and I can't imagine the explosion to be very useful if we do not scale fire damage, because most of the time it's white or blue monsters, those are onehits most of the time (My guess is 2000-5000 life?) while rares and bosses have way more.

And while I write this I start to think that this unique is not useful in general, not for us at the very least.

Ya, Baron is really strong, but you have to revolve your whole build around it. And because of its power, it wisely needs a TON of investment to reach. It's fun to do though, that's for sure.

Mont's is really good. I find the pros and cons equal. Our zombies never die as they are now, so with this build, the zombies don't benefit too much from it. BUT if you were to do a zombie build and not want to invest in much survivability for them (and put those nodes elsewhere), then you'd have a much bigger temptation for its value.

I got lucky while getting the last two ascension points. I can have 4 spectres now, by the way :D

Anyway, I dropped and Ex and I'm eager to spend it. I've looked through some interesting wands. Mine is already pretty good I think.



But what I wanna know is, if for example the following (I don't know how to link from trade, so I'll go with text) is better than mine:

My minion damage is crafted and I guess ... I don't know. Trigger seems QoL, could do some cool shenaningans like perma desecrate/bone offering + something else or whatever, I don't know if +1 level to all spell gems justify the loss of 40% minion damage, 5% attack speed and 6% cast speed + trigger.

My spectre gem is currently level 25 with all bonuses (Original level 19) and my zombies 21 (Original 19) - I have a +3 to minion gem level helmet on me.

Please help me weighing this decision x) (Or suggestion something else to upgrade)

Running around with 1 Ape and 3 Heralds is hilarious by the way.
Oh, how many frenzy charges can my minions have? Maybe 2 apes and 2 heralds is the way to go if they can have more than one?

I can't seem to get past T12/13 maps. My minions die (in large groups and when Maven is watching, I guess bad luck?) despite them being supposed to be very strong. I know I didn't skill 2 nodes that give them 10% max life, but that can't possibly the reason why I'm reaching a little wall there X.x
