[3.19] Ice Dancing Queen - Icestorm/Cyclone/CI - Viable For Everything

Having a blast playing this after a long absence from the game. I feel like I'm doing ok so far, and getting used to so many layers of complexity that now exist. Any suggestions on where to take myself from here? I'm broke after anointing my boots.
Why exactly are we using specific level of CWC and ACWC gems in this build ?

just to let you know, now ACwC lvl 5 is the best, because it ignore stop animations from stun effect.

So now ACwC is the way to go.

Could anyone post screenshots for the normal and cluster vers trees for us computerless peasants? Also, the base version is just not capable of simulacrum yes? Very difficult to get the splits on console, no one farms it.

well with 16k ES facetank 30 simulacrum, but bosses soooo fat mb some affixes but still not enought dmg with 5 storms :/

Yes, without an extreme expensive gear, Icestorm falls behind.

Icestorm need an urgent damage buff!

I would say that need 40% more dmg or more ,to fit to the actual state of the game.

Yea I also think removing the cap is the best solution.

Would allow us to scale duration and use Spellcascade again.

But … I think this will never happen, because more icestorms could be bad for performance. Would be interesting to see a group of players all casting icestorms and see the performance.

I think GGG will not go back to uncapped. Maybe increase max, but not uncapped.

Problem with uncapped game design wise is that it makes damage scale exponentially. You can see GGG going away from anything scaling exponentially, like the change from reduced mana reservation to increased reservation efficiency. RMR made for example stacking auras so good, and more you stack it, better it becomes. IRE is linear scaling. More is better, but with linear growth, how many % better it it gets smaller more you have.

Think damage for example. If your dps is 1000 and you get extra 1000 dps, you get 100% increase. If you get another 1000dps, now it is only 50% increase (2000->3000). And so on. Think about how ridiculous it would become if you would go form 1000->2000->4000->8000 and so on instead of 1000->2000->3000->4000.

Exponential growth is super hard to balance. If you have less than "expected" value you are balanced around, it does next to nothing. And as soon as you have more than what it is balanced to have, it goes to the moon.

Linear growth is just so so so so much easier to balance, there is no way they uncap Icestorm.
