[3.16] Caustic Arrow/Death's Oath Occultist [Life based Chaos Autobomber]

I played this build as my last build in 3.15 and had a lot of fun so I league started with this. Here is my 2 cents.

Build excels at clearspeed and has decent bossing dps once you get your main bow. In addition to actually being decent build, it is also fun as hell. Walking around and seeing everything around you explode is quite satisfying. I can say everyone who plays this game should try this build at least once.

Unfortunately though, with 3.16 changes to tree, I believe build lost something it was quite decent at, bossing. With dodge mechanic, withering step bonus and viridi's veil protection, build was surprisingly tanky against most hits as well, you weren't getting hit at all. It had many defensive layers that preveneted quick deaths. However, it would seem dodge was a huge part of the defensive layers because I died way more than I did the last league with the same build. Even Maven 10-way fights were quite managable before but now, it is just really hard as you don't have dodge anymore and stacking more defenses makes an already not great single target worse. This makes for really unpleasant time against bosses as you die after smallest of mistakes.

All in all, if you have never tried the build, I say you must go for it. If you have played it last league and look to try again, I have to suggest you to think twice about it.

Right now I lack around 20+ exalts to complete the build as I don't have the quiver, gloves and Watcher's eye with the damage over time multi mod. But I don't see myself completing as I just die too much and lose my enthusiasm to finish up the build.

Yes, the tree changes may have impacted the build a little, but as long as you get a decent bow + Empower lvl 4 and awakened gems and cluster setup you should be absolutely fine to do all content, apart from The Feared maybe. I haven't pushed it this far this league due to time constraints but I had no issues doing 10-way Maven. Also magic rings with +1 min endurance charges has made quite a difference for me or at least it felt like a big defense boost.

I was wondering if anyone had tried CA with Mirage Archers? Why are we not using it?

CA does not stack, so CA from mirage doesn't stack with your own CA, so you're basically downgrading a 6-link to a 5-link. If you really need bigger coverage, you can try swapping to arrow nova, but tbh you should see trash die from Death's Aura and you mostly need CA for mobs which don't instantly die (rares, bosses) and for that more damage > more coverage.
saw lot of people use Asenath's Glove is it good ?
i taught death aura is already enough for clearing mob or what i miss with this glove ?

For more tank I suppose, it slows action speed even more, and even blinds the monsters. Then extra explosions on top of your chaos explosion. good for simu, juiced maps.
I'm planning to start with this build as a SSF league starter. Any recommendations what gems to use against bosses and high hp single targets with crap gear?

I guess ED/Blight.

Dont forget to equip Sinvicta's Mettle Ezomyte Axe as off hand. Dive into mob gets the first stack of rampage, swap back to main bow setup. Free rampage :)

1% increased Movement Speed per 20 Rampage Stacks
2% increased Damage per 10 Rampage Stacks
