GGG would like POE stays on the top of the streaming list of course, means more new player. But the cycberpunk will draw a lot of attention when it is released. That also means so many streamers will play it,then there will beless people for POE.

Avoiding that, and told us honestly,i am totally find with it.

After all,it just marketing tactics.More player means GGG can keep developing the game i love.

This is a huge one for GGG, streamers like Cohhcarnage, Itmejp, Dansgaming, shit maybe even Lirik again and more will be streaming cyberpunk not poe. Cohh himself prob averages 10-15k viewers for anything he's playing, I'm willing to bet he pulls 50k viewers easily for cyberpunk release. He also has his own poe guild and has offered GGG money straight up to get his guild size increased[they turned him down of course]. Thats thousands of potential viewers/new poe players that wont see them playing poe for a week or so like they usually do on a league release. Theres zero chance he would play poe over cp2077 since he even has a small character in the game. GGG gets a LOT of free advertising from these people that they would lose.

you can all ask for polls or whatever else you want. It would straight up be a real dumb financial decision to try and compete with cyberpunks release. theres going to be a absolutely massive amount of eyes watching that release. GGG's would be throwing money in the toilet trying to advertise againt cp2077.

I get it some of you are upset but take their viewpoint for a moment and think about it. GGG is a business they are there to make money and going against cyberpunk would not be a smart financial move. You think Chris would/could delay the game if Tencent wanted it out, even they know its a bad idea. A lot of companies do this, movies do this, even he bar i worked at years ago wouldnt book bands for the weekend if there was a big name in town.

Yup Everyone who is crying or complaining read the above. This is the real talk.

Take your emotions to your ex wife.
I remember a PoE release day that fell together with the 6-month Diablo 2 Ladder reset. That friday felt bad because I had to chose between two games I love and two fresh economies I wanted to participate in. Even though I went with PoE, I missed those 1-2 weeks with the godfather of all arpgs - That was what I would call a unfortunate concurrence of game releases.

In hindsight, I know that I should have played LoD back then, since the current league mechanics really encourage you to play SSF at your own pace anyways, unless you like seeing your currency decay in value faster than you can say "toodles". So personally delaying PoE for 1-2 weeks is no biggie.

I like your humble attitude of making place for another game release, but think of it in reverse: has CP77 earned that? would CDPR would have done the same?: "Oh damn, we have to delay CP77 again, ah siht, and this time it crashes with PoE, whose solid release-schedule we know of for 2-3 years now. But who cares, it's Christmas $-), there's money to be made!

Fun fact: I heared about CP77 and the hype around it, and while I never intended playing it, I now absolutely will not look into it at all. It's like that annoying advertisement that cuts your favourite song on the radio. Every time that happens you swear to yourself: "I will never buy anything of that company ever!"

So for the future: be confident of yourself! You are the leading ones in the RPG market! If anything, all the others have to settle around your releases!

ps: is there a poll yet? Like: Will you play CP77? I wonder what outcome it will be :D

pps: in addition to trade and SSF, it's time for the 3rd option of free small-scale private leagues with no individual changes to the current league, so you can play with your buddies at your own pace and help eachother out without being temped and annoyed by the fukc-overs of trade league.

Path of exile is a Business, If they feel a game launching at the same time would affect their bottom line then thats their call.

MORE MONEY = PATH OF EXILE 2 GETS MADE.

NO MONEY = KISS PATH OF EXILE GOODBYE.

Its simple, why are you all reacting on emotion and not with logic.

Business need money. Launching alongside another big product, reduces your chance of profiting on a league launch. Delay league launch, more polish, stronger profit for the league (and better MTX). Honestly all of you need to get your heads out of your ass and grow up.

The problem is that they are willing to release blatantly unfinished leagues like Heist, even after 6 weeks it is still not release worthy, but now suddenly its ok to delay purely because of less income ?

While we can all agree that businesses need to make money, this shows that their desire for money drastically outweighs a finished product, and its not even close.
Was clueless about CP 2077 until this announcement. Looked it up - now wanna play lol.
Will there be new core packs with 3.13?
By the muscular golden arse of Innocence!

What in damnation have you done?!

My Divination Cards: Desecrated Virtue (3.12), The Tireless Extractor (3.17)
Players: Why rush unfinished leagues?!
Also players: WHY DELAY A LEAGUE

Jesus.. people.. go out and take a breather in the meanwhile. This hopefully means that GGG can take one as well and deliver a polished new league rather than a stressed and pressed one that everyone will complain about for being rushed.

Except this is not the case, as basic reading comprehension suggests the extra month is NOT to actually deliver a playable league, it will be used to work on 3.14
Bad News Time to Search a new Hack & Slay game until February
Well I wouldn't have minded. I'll probably wait a few months until I get Cyberpunk. Got too many unfinished games already, so I'll wait until I can get it for half price and all the DLCs and expansions :D

Also my cynical side tells me, Cyberpunk will probably be delayed again anyway. I wonder, would you reconsider PoE in December if CP is pushed to Christmas?
