Heist Mechanic - wierd workaround

The issues with repeated crashing seem to be focused entirely on Playstation platforms. IOW - It's not an intrinsic issue with the game's architecture.

This is intrinsically false.

Two different platforms *can't* use an identical codebase.

There are tons of differences in the XBox code and the PS4 code, just like there are tons of differences between the XBox code and the PC code....

You were talking about how the game handles data, it's general "architecture."

Of course they're not the same "code." I assumed you understood that when I posted references for their operating systems... I never implied they were the same code at all. Are you just trying to make up an argument to win?

Whatever, man... I don't know why, but you're just not getting the point and seem to be a bit too belligerent for me to worry with.

Yes, the PS4 version needs a ton of work. It appears to have issues that are exclusive to that platform.

The XBox version is pretty well tuned at this point and doesn't suffer from these issues.

My advice - Any console player needs to first focus very heavily on optimizing their connection. Always. PoE is an extremely "talky" game. While that is not likely the issue causing PS4 problems, it's a widely enough shared problem that it should always be mentioned in console performance discussions.

Also - You are running hardwired straight to the modem/router, right? Right? :)

Calm down. Go back to :)
If anything you started this by making up an argument. This post was about Heist not do we use a wire.

Many of us use direct wired connections with no better result. I actually got a wire just to test the before and after and saw little change. The only change I noticed was whenever I disconnected due to loss of wireless 2 things were different.

1) I was able to hit the PS button and close the application.
2) I've never died when the game lost connection. Only when it locks and freezes.

Karvarousku whom got the first level 100 on PS4 had 23 Crashes in the 4/5 days he tried during Harvest. Lost all his characters to bluescreens. PS4 PRO, SSD, Wired, all the stuff you'd want to increase performance and it still wasn't enough to stay connected.

That's the point to get, that this is not something the consumer can control. Even GGG is now addressing this issue in the 'What we're working on' section.

PlayStation 4 Crashes
We don't have any updates to provide here unfortunately but we are getting a lot closer to narrowing this problem down.

I'm being belligerent? You're the one who came into a thread where we were discussing workarounds and started saying stuff that was off topic and contradicting us and attacking what we're saying.

If, as you imply later, all you wanted to do was give some advice on how people might improve their situation (by using a cable instead of wireless), then why the need to come in and say other stuff that wasn't related?

I would have welcomed your advice (although I did not need it, I was already well aware of that recommendation, it's even in GGG's stickied post about console issues).
