What do you recommend until you have access to CWDT? Because my damage is SLOWWW, bosses take forever, etc. Just got to act 3. What are my leveling skills here until you get linked gear and CWDT gems?
Hey Ceremony! Sweet Beta Badge!

In the levelling section of the guide I mention how weak zombies are at the beginning of the campaign. I suggest either SRS or Skeletons to help out until you find that Zombies are doing an adequate job. I couldn't fit the whole guide into one post (character limits) so some people miss the rest of the guide a little bit lower than the rest. It's easy to miss. Hopefully that helps! Let me know if it doesn't.

Anytime. Be sure to ask anything you like. It's better to understand than to wish you understood.

Happy New Year, Mr. Day! Hope you had a great Christmas.

I was thinking about trying out this build but with cold damage zombies, because that new unique chestpiece (Fleshcrafter) that causes your minions to penetrate elemental resistances when they have energy shield looks really interesting. What do you think? Cold zombies would be like a Game of Thrones White Walker build. :D

I've run out of time this league to really give it the treatment I want, so maybe next league.

Regardless, I think GGG really missed out not making a snowman MTX for zombies. :)

Happy New Year Wrecker and to all reading this.

If you could spare a minute to take a look at my build I would appreciate it. I found a clayshaper so I decided to try out a few different things. I removed Enduring bond from the tree in place of Golem Commander. I like the idea of more golems! I'm running one stone and 2 carrion golems alongside my zombies and slave driver specters.
Are carrion golems the way to go as far as adding damage to all my minions or would another golem be better?
My resists are capped. Is there anything you see I could try to improve on? I know my flasks are kinda lacking,
Right now I'm able to clear up to T 14 maps no problem as long as they arn't too juiced up. I still struggle against some bosses but I think thats more just not knowing the mechanics and getting one shot.
One last question. If I don't want to use pred support with my zombies could I instead run Feeding Frenzy to make them aggressive? Would that not achieve the same or similar result? A lot of times my braindead zombies don't want to stay near the boss to attack it when I have to run away to avoid getting killed.

Thanks for all your help!

Will you be making any new stress free builds for the next league?

Have a safe and Happy New Year!

Hey theta40!

Happy New Year! I hope you had a good Christmas as well. We were blessed to have a very relaxing Christmas.

Cold Damage is awesome with Zombies. This build could easily fit the bill as well. You'd just obviously have to change your auras and Brutality. I find cold builds best dealing lots of big damage from fewer sources as opposed to many smaller damage sources. So I'd keep the build pure zombies instead of adding Phantasms or skeletons. That's just me though. I'm really curious what the new changes will be for 3.13. I hope the game doesn't change too much mechanically as we'll be getting so much new content...but I guess the additions of Heist and Harvest will have to be accomodated.

Good luck with the cold version of this build if you get around to it. Let me know how it goes if you do.

I agree. Zombies need more MTX love.

Hey Zuuule!

Happy New Year! You're awesome. Thanks for your kind words.

Extra Golems is great. Good call on the switch. I personally don't find that a Carrion Golem is too big a buff on its own...but with Golem Commander, your golems are giving a bigger perk. Golem perks don't stack though. So if I was you, and running three golems, I'd run Stone and Chaos (for the defence) and then Carrion...that is, if you have the gem space.

Feeding Frenzy only gives damage increases via the global buff it creates. So since it's really easy to get the buff from ANY minion, the only reason to include FF in your main minion links is if you want the aggression. But keep in mind, that does mean, you basically dealing "5-link" damage for the sake of that aggression because you could put a node that improves their damage instead. That being said, that's just numbers. Try FF out. Play with it if you like how it works. If you ever find damage lacking, you know what to replace. If damage isn't lacking, keep it in.

In terms of gear/survivability, having 164% increased life on the tree is still pretty low. Try and get over 175% if you can. But make that a secondary goal. Some of your gear has some really good basic rolls (life and resists), but others are missing it. Make sure you're capped in resists. Even having 70% instead of 75% really makes a huge impact in damage taken. Over capping resists is great too because it gives freedom when switching gear out. Also make sure that your gear all has some decent life rolls on it too. Focusing first on your gear that don't have both life AND resists will be a much bigger improvement than changing your tree. So focus on that first.

Also, a HUGE part of our defence comes from Mistress of Sacrifice. So getting that final ascension will do wonders for you.

Hopefully that helps put a focus on things. Let me know if you need anything else. Thanks again for your kindness.

Oh! As someone who loves PoE, I love making new builds all the time. That being said, guides take up a lot of personal time. So I have to limit myself in how many guides I write or my wife will leave me ;). So I'm sticking to the "one red, green, and blue minion" guides. So the three guides I have will be up for 3.13. (Unless they add new minion skills!) All three guides will be tweaked slightly with some gameplay improvements that I've added to my personal builds while I've played each one during 3.12. But to answer your question, these current three guides will be my only guides (with the mentioned tweaks) going forward.

If golem perks don't stack why do I see builds revolving around having up to 6 carrion golems at one time?

Because the Carrion Golems have awesome skills and deal lots of damage. They're fast, aggressive, and have good area attacks. There are likely some good uniques that combine with it as well.

Hey!

Just wanted to share a piece of happiness I picked up on a white map recently:

It's an upgrade res-wise and it's additional quant.
I think it will make gearing further a bit easier :)

Have a great time!
