Will Harvest Become Core Path of Exile Content?

Why people that dislike harvest bother about the harvesting thing? u can just pass by the seed right if u don't want to plant the seed. Plus it gave u free crafting compare with normal craft which will cost exalted(some craft item). As far as i play, exalted is not easy drop for casual player.

The crafting isn't free. You have to pick up seeds, build up a garden and hope that you get the craft you need.

Also despite it being very easy to just ignore the mechanic, some people can't help thinking something more exciting could have taken its place, thus the whining.
R.I.P. Harvest...

Thats great news for the players thankyou for taking some time out and letting us in the loop... i think most of us enjoyed the new crafting system but the majority hate the garden.

The first day you released the patch notes for harvest i said immediately that it wasnt fun and you would lose your player base

Here is hoping that the next league is fun asf and that you guys make plenty of money so you can conintue to bless us with new content

Thankyou for all your hard work and efforts

May it stay away forever. I don't want to play farmville to craft items. I want the stuff to come from drops mainly with small adjustments through crafting.

But that's exactly you're playing with or without harvest though.

You're farming maps/side content for currency to craft or buy already crafted gear.

The entire thing is another "RNG is content" arpgs are like that but without useful loot explosions like they are constantly "experimenting" with it's like they want players to not play their game sometimes.

But they want however you buying their microtransactions, lootboxes and gamble away.

Really interesting reading this thread. For transparency, I did not like the mechanic, but really did like the crafting. And let's be clear, whilst more deterministic it still involved significant rng. Often when augmented you were competing with several other mods, and then you were also aiming for higher tiers and had to re-roll lower. Its not like this crafting allowed us to specific T1 max life for example!

It is clear GGG are basing their decisions on streamers. I've done 100s if not 1000s of maps this league, and I still haven't got anywhere near perfect rolls yet, the augment mods are not common unless your trade for them.

Its also interesting that by and large, most people want the crafting to stay, but also that the mechanic itself wasn't good.

Those that like the crafting are generally being fairly respectful, the few that don't want the crafting seem to be fairly toxic, and actively enjoying the fact it won't be staying. You do know you don't have to be douchebags don't you? Its fine that you don't enjoy the crafting and don't want it, its also fine that you can be happy with GGGs decision, but to actively gloat and pleasure your little e-peens at the cost of others is pathetic.

It is clear the majority of these people are probably the 4+ hour a day players, that play so much they are able to acquire vast amount of currency to blow on the casino crafting of old, to get that 1 item that sells for 100Ex, that was costing 5Ex this league. They are just being selfish as they don't want to lose their stranglehold over the league economy. The comment above about finding gear and tweaking it by crafting is really flawed. Tweaking cannot be done in the old gambling crafting, other than annulment gambling that runs the high risk of bricking your item, or aug slamming that picks from such a wide pool of mods, is unlikely to give you what you want. The crafting bench has been weakened since the multimod change. The rest of the crafting, essence, fossils, etc all reforge items.

Also I see a few comments from these people saying they'd rather find their gear. This is hilarious, the rng drops in this game are the worst I've ever seen. Ignoring during the levelling process, I've never come across a random drop that improves my gear.

I think this is the worst development decision I've seen since i started to play PoE.... =(

In my opinion, harvest crafting reduced the HUGE item power gap between hardcore players and casuals, making the character progress more dynamic and allowing a bigger number of players to have the experience of using some non-crap rare influenced items.

I also think that the crafting process became less tedious and time consuming and turned into a new fun feature of the game. Using harvest crafting I was able to make many of the items i used in my characters which was an amazing experience for me. =)

too easy to gain very powerful items that previously required a lot more work

It seems you want some items to be available only to the 0.01% of players that can play 80h/week to buy nice rare items or craft them using one of the previous tedious methods of crafting.

Is this really necessary?

I don't think so and I really hope you reconsider this decision.

In the end you decide if you are the "x.xx %" of the players since you can also reach in 3 months easily super gear wit 2-3 hours a day of playing poe thats 14-21 hours a week bit different vs the 80 hours. But you guys who are whining all the time about the x.xx % of playerbase are just too lazy to inform yourself about the game. You don´t have to craft to make currency. Also you don´t have to ever craft in a trade league! All the poor excuses and never the will to watch videos etc. like everyone else did. People who are good in this game play a lot thats true but there are people too like me who are also working and are 11 hours away ( in my case now) and can´t play the game non stop. Still i invested the time and learned about the mechanics and know how to make currency. My most played time was in SSF so progressing in the game without buying a single item and deal with the game with the pre harvest crafting stuff. I´m not creating GG gear in SSF but i pick up the items i need till i have a good gear piece and don´t use much currency at all after i reached maps to craft my items.

So much THIS.
oh pls dont. the devaluation of the rares was insane. items that could ussualy be sold for around 10c would never sell. the fact that the crafting is that powerful means i have to craft every piece myself which i dislike. then if you make scarabs for seeds is even worse for the economy as would then force players to buy even more incosisten shit from the market. we want to kill monsters not craft all day. even if craftin becomes somwhat eazier it dosnt mean more people will like it thats not how it works
