A few questions :-)
Running those 3 aura's plus lvl 3 enlighten isn't enough - I see on the PoB you've factored in a reduced Wrath reservation to get around it. Took my a few minutes to work out why you have quite a bit of mana left, so maybe worth pointing that out? I mean ... I guess witout this and the reduced mana res. nodes your taking you could get away without it, but you'd need enduring mana flask constantly running? Or do we drop one aura if we can't get reduced Wrath on Amulet? Also, your character profile is showing different gems. Have you stopped playing this, playing around with alternatives, or found an even better setup than posted here? :-) Cheers! |

" yeah im a bit confused to , dont know if its herald of ice or herald of thunder or inspiration or power charge on critical support on the chest would be awesome if OP could update us on that little part |

" " I have 4 different characters that I'm playing around with at the moment, so that's why stuff is a little different. ^^ A couple of things. Grab Arcane will if you have issues with mana. I'm using it myself at the moment. Like RealMF16 says, I have replaced Power Charge on Critical with Inspiration. This seems to help a lot with mana, and it doesn't really make any difference in terms of damage. Make sure to grab, Sovereignty, Mystic Bulwark, and Utmost Intellect. Also, I am supposed to be using Herald of Ice, not Herald of Thunder. This is just something that I tested out, and forgot to switch back. I am also currently not using an amulet with aura reservation myself, and it should work without it. I will try to update the original PoB asap. I think Arcane Will is probably needed. Sorry for the confusion, I'll get right on updating the PoB! Edit: Here's a more up-to-date PoB: https://pastebin.com/456i3dgg Don't panic. Last edited by Fiver#2304 on Jul 31, 2020, 2:31:54 PM

Hi , yesterday i asked you on your stream if you could take a look at my cluster setup for the build since i changed a few things from your setup and added extra clusters but at the time you were busy with crafting so i figured it would been better to ask you here and whenever you have some free time maybe you could take a quick peak at it and let me know if the cluster setup is good for the build or not , also i wanted to ask 3 questions about the build if its not to much trouble , first one would be how important is the incandescent heart? would a high es vaal regalia also work or will we lose to much either dps or defence and last question would be what modifiers would give the build more damage %lightning/cold damage or %crit multi ? and for last the #increased Lightning Damage while affected by Wrath from the watchers eye this also gets converted to cold correct ? or will this not increase our damage ? i apologize for all the question just want make sure i understand the build correctly, build has been amazing so far so i wanted to invest some currency on it .

" I'm sorry, I just totally forgot you yesterday. Yeah I like the curse cluster. Hinder + Cull is definitely a good addition to the build. The big wheel, I'm not so sure about. Losing out on blanketed snow is a lot of damage. Might be worth the trade-off though. Better survival is always good. As for the other stuff. - Incandescent Heart is just a really great body armour for survival if you are playing CI. It negates so much incoming elemental damage, it's nuts. That said, it's not a must have. A high ES Vaal Regalia definitely works, and with some tinkering, you can even go LL with shavs and prism guardian. I tried this out earlier, but found that CI felt better. There is definitely room to play around with here. None of the items in the build are the definite best in slot, with the exception for the Call of the Brotherhood, and I'd argue the Cold Conduction jewel. - We scale better on lightning damage than we do on cold damage, but only barely in our case. As a general rule (depending on how easy it is to scale on, ofc), it's better to scale on the damage used before conversion. In this case Lightning Damage. I think crit multiplier is the strongest one in this case though. - Yes the increased damage from the watchers eye gets converted. That said, I don't think that increased damage from WE is worth it. You would get more damage from a crit multi jewel. Even just 2 crit multi mods would give more. At a certain point, "% increased damage" reaches a point of diminishing returns, where it doesn't scale as effectively as other modifiers. Crit multiplier is usually stronger, and possibly added damage as well. If you want to properly scale damage to a high level, you need to do it in layers. If one layer is really big but the others are shit, then it's not gonna be as effective. So the best way (with a lot of exceptions ofc), is usually trying to find a balance between # to # damage / % increased damage / % crit chance / % crit multi / % more damage / % double / % penetration, etc. Also, please don't apologize for questions! I love being able to help out when I can, and the build evolves when people come up with new stuff or have ideas. I also get inspiration from questions to make changes. Sorry for answering so late! As a sidenote, I see that you are still using Power Charge on Critical, which is what I used early in the build, but I've replaced that with Inspiration instead. Helps a lot with mana, and there's not really any difference in terms of damage. I recommend changing that. Don't panic. Last edited by Fiver#2304 on Aug 1, 2020, 12:58:22 PM

Alright, starting up my stream now. You know where to find me if you need help over the next 6-7 hours or so. :)
I will be playing around with a different concept for the build this stream. No idea how it will turn out, but we'll find out I guess. http://www.twitch.tv/holyfivr Don't panic. |

So I love ball lightning and I love Herald of Ice explosion sounds, so this seemed like an ideal build for me.
I've reached lvl 75 (starting from a new build) and the clear in White and Yellow Maps is good. Not got 20/20 gems etc, yet, but I can see it has potential. Also need to start levelling my Slower Proj. gem for bosses too. Some pointers to anyone else who fancies this build: 1) Levelling with this tree and skillset is pretty tough. Almost all the points on the tree are useful, so it's tough to know whether to take defence first or damage. I mostly took damage, and so had quite a few deaths levelling. 2) I mostly levelled with ball lightning using a +2 skill gems wand (unique one, forgot the name!) with ball lightning, faster casting and, erm, something else! This was ok ... but fell off towards level 60+, but it seemed a waste of chaos to buy 6 linked "life" chest etc. when at 70 I was going to swap to CI. 3) For CI you need enlighten level 3. You need HoI, Wrath and Discipline. 4) With "reasonable" items (I think I've spent 4ex on gear?) I'm only at around 4k ES. So yeah, damn low. However, with unique armor and high block chance it's pretty solid in yellow tier maps. Clearly I need to upgrade gear and get more ES nodes ASAP now! 5) Getting a helm with "Additional Ball lightning projectile" is good for clear, although I understand that Area of Effect is better (but more expensive). 6) My sense is that this build will truly shine at level 85+ ... there are many skill points that the build needs. Watch Fiver's video build guide and you'll hear him say it several times ... "this is key to get early" ... well, they're almost all key to get early. I would prioritise cluster gems as early as you can. 7) If I Was to do this again I might level as something else and then transition over to this build at 85. I love love love the HoI shatter plus ball lightning, and I'm looking forward to trying some of the more difficult content over the coming days. Thanks to OP for the guide/post. 8) The flasks are important.
With +1 to ball lightning projectiles on Helmet Dying sun isn't totally mandatory, but still helps with clear. The only issue is with 3 unique flasks (Dying Sun, Cinderswallow, Aztiri's promise) it means you have to chose which removal mods are most important to you on your other 2 flasks. i.e. remove freeze / poison / curse / Bleed immunity etc. ... because you can't get them all (?). The two that get me killed quickest appear to be freeze and bleed ... would be interesting to know if there are other ways to get around these? Or do people just run with "logout" macro in case of emergency? |

" Thank you for your input! There are definitely still a lot of things that I need to work on with the build. :p Don't panic. |
