[3.14] Gryph's Thirsty Archmage Cremation Necromancer

With the Crazy bosses this league, I am going to come back and played this for the 3rd consecutive season lol

This build seems just too good. I have been playing the CwC VD, while mapping is quick.. against bosses the dmg seems lacking unless with godly gear(still managed to kill maven shaper)

I am sure going back to this build will somewhat boost my dmg 10 times

Then you should be using Cast on Crit, not Cast while Channeling.

You're literally doing like..1/8th your potential DPS this way. :P

Don't swap Tempest shield out for Blade Blast. You really want to stick to duration skills in the trigger weapon:

Curse on hit ring/gloves work better than triggering the curse from wand if you want to go way of curse cluster jewel as well.

AOE is probably more impactful than 50% crit chance. Check your POB to see if that boosts cremation projectil radius. Remember, more AOE=More Overlap

The tree you linked is totally fine btw. There are a number of ways to make the skill tree, use what works best for you. Cluster tree is probably most efficient place to put points though.


Cheers for the detailed reply. Yea putting in either of the Belt Enchants don't seem to do anything in PoB i.e. doesn't change DPS or Cremation radius, so I'm not sure if it works. Here's another PoB with the two belts with enchants if you want to play with it https://pastebin.com/k05UpQyV

I found your previous post on Lightning Pen and understand that overlap is pre important, can you reflect GMP real dps on PoB? Because the Awakened Lightning Pen seems to give a fat increase on DPS. And I've seen that in an older iteration you did use Lightning Penetration in the 6-link.

My playstyle is that I'm zooming for maps then stay still for a bit for Intensify stacks for bossing then constantly moving, I'd rather be constantly moving for bosses/crucible though.

How about replacing Pinpoint instead then?

Pinpoint is actually INSANE. :D don't replace it.

Hard to reflect true "DPS" but mechanically Cremation fires its projectiles over 1 second. IE: 4 proj per second without GMP and 8 proj per second WITH GMP.

EDITL to clarify, Pinpoint adds damage regardless of its intensity because of +3 proj with no stacks and 90% more damage with 3 stacks. It's pretty busted. Replace regular Intensify if you want to though.

Alright I swapped out my Intensify, trying that out.

Also if we get a Dying Sun, I've seen some people just go with Warding/Staunching or Warding/Heat and still stick with a Quicksilver Adrenaline, thoughts? Running Mana/Health/Quicksilver/Rumi as the other 4.

I have Corrupting Blood jewel and puncture's don't seem to happen that often.

I guess you can spec into Anointed Flesh and run Soul of Brine King with the chill effect reductions but I'm believing Soul of Arakaali is hidden OP this league due to the Chaos Res ( so I run Arakaali and Shakari ).

In your "How it works" Section, it shows that Desecrate is on your 5L Glove setup, as where in other places, including the POB, it shows that Desecrate just has spell Cascade.

Is your "How it works" section outdated or am I misunderstanding something?

Awesome. So we no longer need Faster Casting on the gloves because Arcane cloak DEFINITELY consumes enough mana to proc Arcane Surge, yes? Or should we still want it to for Sigil of Power as well?

Yeah cloak procs the arcane surge, I have them together because of second wind support.
